I’m gonna start the stuffed animals attached to balloons with hats outside bedroom door.

My friend does a large cupcake, muffin or donut with a candle the morning of birthdays every year I thought that was cute

We have tried to do something with balloons each birthday for the past couple. For my son, he loves stuffed animals, so last year, I tied a balloon to the cat he loves like a collar and put it in front of his bedroom door. For my stepson, we've mostly done balloon avalanches.
I also really love to decorate the house with photos of them for their birthday party from the last year. It's bittersweet looking at how much they've grown each time. 😊 I usually use streamers, clothespins, and painter's tape to put them up.
Has anyone else paid for a scan and not been able to see baby’s face? My partner feels like it was a waste of money I see where he’s coming from but I’m just glad I got to hear baby’s heart beat and seeing the baby moving. What would you do?

Hey, im going to be 37 next year, i have a 2 yr old and my and my partner are considering a second child. With my first I had to have an emergency c section so likely would be booked for a c section for a 2nd. Can anyone shed some hard truth stories of having a second my age as well as having a 2nd c section and the recovery

I’m just sitting here minding my own business at 8 months pregnant and my toddler comes up to me and says “who got you pregnant”!!!
I looked at her like “what” and she repeated herself so I said “her daddy”! So she said “why did my daddy get you pregnant” 😳
So I said “I don’t know”! She says “it’s fine I will call him and ask him”…. She grabs my phone calls her dad who’s at work and he was sounded mortified, when she said “why did you get my mummy pregnant”! I couldn’t fully remember what he said because I couldn’t stop laughing!!! Nothing can prepare you to be a parent to a toddler!! 😭😂

Im 40 weeks on Sunday and have a C-section booked for Tuesday. I don’t want the section but because of previous C-section due to preemie baby I’m not allowed to be induced - either by body goes into labour naturally or C-section :( - I have a needy toddler at home so would prefer natural in terms of recovery!
Please give me all your tips 🙏🏼

Had regular contractions last night for an hour but they weren’t painful. Just like period pains. My waters appeared to break and trickle from 10.30pm last night. Called home birth midwife who told me to get checked in the hospital as I had brown discharge which they wanted to rule out wasn’t meconium (confirmed it’s not). But they confirmed my waters have broke. Got to go into labour ward at 10.30 tonight to talk to doctor about antibiotics and now I can’t have my home birth of birth centre birth 😭 Contractions have pretty much stopped. I’ve had a bloody show but guys what is happening. I hope I go into labour before 10.30pm as I don’t want an induction. Any advice?
