Should I be worried my obgyn is acting sketchy?
I went for my anatomy scan she said baby girl is perfect. But then referred me for a 2nd anatomy scan to check for placental problems. I asked was there signs of any issues and she said it’s just a precaution. But many of my mom friends say they haven’t had to get a 2nd opinion and feel she should have be more straight forward.

If she said baby is currently fine, then baby is fine. HOWEVER, if she saw something sketchy on the scan regarding your placenta aging prematurely they may be wanting a second opinion and may be because they are considering inducing you early as a result of your scan. I am glad they aren't ignoring it and are going to have second opinion. Don't be afraid to ask questions from 2nd scan too!! Big hug and big prayers!
It could also be Previa of some sort. But she should have told you why she sent you for the 2nd scan. I’d be asking questions at the scan.
doctors are not allowed to lie to you about your own medical records / situation (if you find out a doctor has then report them!) so if she said baby girl is perfect, then she’s perfect! however, she may have seen something a little out of the ordinary with the placenta that isn’t a problem right now but could potentially change and wants to keep an eye on it and get a second opinion. that’s a good thing! keep calm, and at your next scan make sure to ask them exactly what it is they’re looking for xx
At my anatomy scan the lady was really not very friendly and hardly answered any questions. Then my doctor called and said I needed to see the high risk doctor because they thought they say a cyst on my babies brain and didn't get good enough images of his heart. I had to wait the longest three weeks ever to be seen all for them to walk in and say nothing is wrong and sorry to waste your time. The lady who did the second scan was so so friendly and so kind and I was so thankful! Sometimes it just takes a better trained technician to get better images and they also do recordings so nothing is missed
Maybe call and ask why you need another one and see what they say. But it’s probably previa so they probably want to Check where it is again next time

At what age was your baby holding the head independently?
I see lots of babies on social media already holding their head and mine only lifts it briefly for a few seconds on tummy time and for a second when holding her upright.
Also she’s not rolling yet.

Big baby
Had my growth scan today (38+5 weeks) and baby girl is at a EFW of 8.7lbs 😅 The lady doing the ultrasound was amazed at how big she was asking if she’s previously been measuring big, asking if I have GD (which I don’t), said baby has a chubby belly so my placenta must be doing a really good job, that she’s very very low down, her legs are very very long and said “wow you must be feeling that, this baby is going to be a bruiser”.
Throughout my whole pregnancy she’s been measuring big and I’ve always taken her efw with a pinch of salt as they’re not 100% accurate and have been quite excited to give birth but after the sonographers comments today I just feel so nervous and anxious for labour. I’m in constant pain because of how low she is, my 🐱 has swollen and the lightning crotch is unbearable to walk/sit/lay down. Did anyone else’s baby measure big during their ultrasound appointments? If so, how was it in labour? Will they suggest a c section for me because of her weight? I want to go all natural as I have sciatica so don’t want an epidural incase it messes up my back more and I really want to push.

Contacting hospital before arrival for labour UK
Hi guys, I was wondering how I’d go about calling the maternity unit at the hospital to let them know I’m in labour in preparation of a water birth. I was told by my midwife to contact them once I start labour but unsure whether I’d call 999 or triage as it wasn’t clear in the conversation.

C section questions for doctor
2nd time mom here I am due and have a consultation for second birth and c section most likely! I am trying to create a list of questions for my dr about 2nd time (my first was emergency so obviously I didn’t have time to ask)… anything you ladies recommend I just don’t know where to start!

6 weeks post-partum and infection
I had a vaginal birth but had a second degree tear and also had stitches for a vaginal wall repair. Healing has been sore but i'd say with time has got better but this past week i've had green discharge and it has become uncomfortable, I think from wearing some form of pad for the last 6 weeks as they tend to irritate my skin down there? Though I can't not wear one because of the discharge and occasional lochia etc though that is clearing now.
It is the weekend so I'm stuck until Monday now but is there anything I can do? I'm keeping clean and not using soaps down there etc but I think it might need anti-biotics and I'm not exactly keen on having someone look at it🫠
