Someone give me some hope. I’m tired and uncomfortable now and I see absolutely no signs. Done the miles circuit and a labour inducing workout, having the dates and all the warm foods but still nothing. Help🥲

I’m so with you and honestly have no words of advice other than to try and relax 🙏 worry less about trying all of the things they suggest to start Labour off and just focus on relaxing, warm baths, gentle movement, meditations, have friends over to keep you company etc. this is the hardest bit but we’re almost there! Sending you lots of love x

Hiya hun I know the feeling I’ve been in early labour since Friday last week last checked on Sunday and was only 2cm dilated was in hospital for a few days wirh on and off contraction and then sent home I literally just lost my mucus plug 2 days ago and can barely walk baby has definitely dropped a lot lower sleeping at night has been impossible and the constant pain and pressure is driving me nuts

It’s definitely really hard and unfortunately at only being nearly 39weeks on Tuesday I feel like this pregnancy is going to be a long one as I’m having no regular contraction’s yet

Worst thing is as I had a previous c section last year in April if I go over 40 weeks I would need another one and cannot be induced

All these messages have made me feel so much better, I feel like I’m about to crack waiting. Sooo much pressure I can barely walk or sit up even and dull cramps for a week now. I’m 39+3 and have GD and I just can’t wait for this to be over. I was starting to think I was over reacting untill all your messages made me feel like I’m not alone :(

Infected c-section site and cold

I’m concerned as I’ve been on antibiotics for an infected c-section site. But have gotten a cold/flu like symptoms now (cough, sore throat, runny nose and headache). Having googled (worst thing I know) it says it could be possible sepsis, I have an appointment Tuesday for a review of previous antibiotics given. Would it be recommend to call maternity unit due to gp being closed over the weekend or do I wait till Monday to see if I can get an appointment then instead of Tuesday.

Any advice would be appreciated

Ultrasound

I’m pregnant with my 2nd baby. I just received first ultrasound results. And they put in the results that I have a small fibroid , small cystic lesion and a small subchorionic hematoma. Was wondering if anyone experienced any of those things? I’ve been having a lot of cramping too - wondering if one of these things are causing it 😭

Birth partner

Has anybody else not taken their husband /wife /partner with them when they went into labour? My husband came with me the first time but I’m genuinely thinking of taking my mum this second time around she hasn’t asked me to or knows that I want her to maybe come. I just feel like my partner isn’t reliable enough for me to get in touch with him all. Maybe it’s done it once don’t need to do it again situation I don’t know but I thought it was normal to take your partner but maybe not for everybody?

Consistent tightenings

I’ve been having braxton hicks since about 1pm every 10ish minutes. They’re not painful but it’s been about 4.5 hours. Is there any chance this could be labour? Or just braxton hicks?

Cancelled elective c section

I was originally booked in for a low risk elective C-section on Thursday 17th. Was in my scrubs ready to and after being in hospital for nearly 8 hours I was told they couldn’t do it due to emergencies.
Went back today (19th) and told I was the only one booked in but obviously any emergencies would be prioritised which I completely understand. Got ourselves really excited and prepared that after Thursday’s drama it would happen today. After being in hospital for another 5 hours we were sent home again and told to go back tomorrow.
Have to fast again and return first thing in the morning and been told again I am the only one listed (apart from emergencies again) but I just have absolutely no faith that they will actually do it tomorrow. Has anyone ever heard of an elective c-section being cancelled on the day 3 times?

Just to note I am 40+2 now and want to avoid the induction, hence the choice to go for elective C-section.

Can anyone give me any reassurance and any advice if I am again turned away tomorrow?
