Birthday ideas?

Hi all! Has anybody thought about how to celebrate baby’s first birthday? I feel like January is a rubbish birthday month anyway being so close to Christmas AND in the middle of winter, but I don’t know what to do to celebrate. I’m not overly keen on the small party at home idea and can’t think of anywhere for a day out where we won’t freeze! Probably stressing over nothing but it’s playing on my mind for weeks and now think should we just book a trip away?

If it helps my daughters birthday is the 4th of January we will do a small party in a hall with close family and then in July we will do a second celebration with a trip or a bigger outdoor party x

My babies first birthday is in January and we are either hiring a local cafe with a sensory room or hiring a community centre and getting a ball pit/soft play to be hired for the day because we want family all to be able to see him in one day rather than having to drive round to see everyone as that can be a pain🙈

My oldest has an early January birthday. For his first birthday we did winter ONEderland with just family and friends at home. On his actual birthday we took him to an indoor playground (and to Build a Bear but that’s maybe only in the US?)

We've booked a weekend away at a local-ish place for our babys first birthday, his birthday is the 10th Jan. We've invited family to come along for the day to see him or book the weekend if they'd like! And then the weekend after I think we do a small party either at the house or the village hall! X

Infected c-section site and cold

I’m concerned as I’ve been on antibiotics for an infected c-section site. But have gotten a cold/flu like symptoms now (cough, sore throat, runny nose and headache). Having googled (worst thing I know) it says it could be possible sepsis, I have an appointment Tuesday for a review of previous antibiotics given. Would it be recommend to call maternity unit due to gp being closed over the weekend or do I wait till Monday to see if I can get an appointment then instead of Tuesday.

Any advice would be appreciated

Ultrasound

I’m pregnant with my 2nd baby. I just received first ultrasound results. And they put in the results that I have a small fibroid , small cystic lesion and a small subchorionic hematoma. Was wondering if anyone experienced any of those things? I’ve been having a lot of cramping too - wondering if one of these things are causing it 😭

Birth partner

Has anybody else not taken their husband /wife /partner with them when they went into labour? My husband came with me the first time but I’m genuinely thinking of taking my mum this second time around she hasn’t asked me to or knows that I want her to maybe come. I just feel like my partner isn’t reliable enough for me to get in touch with him all. Maybe it’s done it once don’t need to do it again situation I don’t know but I thought it was normal to take your partner but maybe not for everybody?

Consistent tightenings

I’ve been having braxton hicks since about 1pm every 10ish minutes. They’re not painful but it’s been about 4.5 hours. Is there any chance this could be labour? Or just braxton hicks?

Waters have broke!!! It’s go time!!! No hints and then suddenly waters broke and had a contraction 5 minutes later, now having contractions every 4-5 minutes!

Waters have broken - me again

Ive been told i’ll be contacted within 12 hours to go to hospital for them to check things over as ive got no contractions or anything. My chosen hospital is also full which means i’d have to go further away if i do start contractions now. How long after your waters breaking did your contractions start? This is my second baby but waters never broke with my first
