Waters have broken - me again

Ive been told i’ll be contacted within 12 hours to go to hospital for them to check things over as ive got no contractions or anything. My chosen hospital is also full which means i’d have to go further away if i do start contractions now. How long after your waters breaking did your contractions start? This is my second baby but waters never broke with my first

Mine started 20 hours after (proper contractions) but I had mild ones beforehand. You should insist on getting an examination if your waters had broken.

I had zero signs of labour pre-waters breaking, but contractions started for me pretty much as soon as they did, and built to be intense and regular after about 3 hours. My overall labour was abnormally fast though!

Happened with my first. Went in straight away to be checked over. Was told I had 24 hours for spontaneous labour to start or would be induced due to the risk of infection. Didn't start so as planned I was induced the following day

C-section help please 🙏

Hi everyone !
I had my appointment yesterday 38+5 weeks which went abit sideways to say the least 🙈
I was meant to be getting induced next week but little man has apparently jumped from 8lbs 6 to nearly 11pounds in 2 weeks (no gestational diabetes)
I got told I had to have a C-section instead now and have never had one so am flapping like a headless chicken 😂 what essentials did you all need / wish you had after a C-section please 🙏 any tips welcome as I’m currently just a blubbering mess as it wasn’t how was planned 😂😂

Going into labour

Is there anything that actually works to try and go into labour?

I'm willing to give things a go as I'm so fed up now 😂 aiming for a vbac so trying to avoid c section if I can 🤞🏻 but have agreed to section if I get to due date and nothing has happened 🙈

Flying pregnant

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant just over 4 weeks I go away at the beginning of November I’ll be roughly 10-11 weeks I won’t have had a scan yet (unlikely) I’m not even sure if I will have had my first midwife appointment by then🤔 am I still okay to fly? It’s a 4 hour flight.
Should I get a private scan to confirm everything is okay before hand?

Infected c-section site and cold

I’m concerned as I’ve been on antibiotics for an infected c-section site. But have gotten a cold/flu like symptoms now (cough, sore throat, runny nose and headache). Having googled (worst thing I know) it says it could be possible sepsis, I have an appointment Tuesday for a review of previous antibiotics given. Would it be recommend to call maternity unit due to gp being closed over the weekend or do I wait till Monday to see if I can get an appointment then instead of Tuesday.

Any advice would be appreciated
