Hi everyone !
I had my appointment yesterday 38+5 weeks which went abit sideways to say the least ๐
I was meant to be getting induced next week but little man has apparently jumped from 8lbs 6 to nearly 11pounds in 2 weeks (no gestational diabetes)
I got told I had to have a C-section instead now and have never had one so am flapping like a headless chicken ๐ what essentials did you all need / wish you had after a C-section please ๐ any tips welcome as Iโm currently just a blubbering mess as it wasnโt how was planned ๐๐

Nighties! No shorts/trouser pj sets.
Wet wipes, dry shampoo, face masks, I felt gross after my c-section and you canโt shower comfortably straight away.
Chewing gum & buscomint tablets - gas pain can be insane and this helped massively for me.
High waisted nappies & disposable underwear.
I had my c-section a week ago and already going out on little day trips and feeling back to normal, you got this! X

I also had my section a week ago and went out for the first time yesterday, you'll be surprised at how quickly your body starts to recover.
I found being able to wash my face with a flannel and put on a little bit of skin care whilst in hospital made me feel more human. Lip balm, hand cream, little things that perk you up.
Keep on top of your pain relief when you come home, even if it means setting alarms to wake overnight, you'll be glad of it in the morning when you get up.
Peppermint tea for the gas ๐จ
Also, gentle laxatives, I came home with lactulose prescribed by the hospital

Take the growth scans with a pinch of salt and maybe research โ big babies โ people birth big babies vaginally with no issues and if your low risk id try and go natural baby may not be as big as they think!

I went for my anatomy scan she said baby girl is perfect. But then referred me for a 2nd anatomy scan to check for placental problems. I asked was there signs of any issues and she said itโs just a precaution. But many of my mom friends say they havenโt had to get a 2nd opinion and feel she should have be more straight forward.

Iโm 5.5 weeks pregnant. I had a C section with my last baby almost 4 years ago. Did anyone else experience more cramps with activity in their pregnancies after having had a C-section? Iโm thinking it might be due to scar tissue? Iโm really worried bc the pain is pretty intense. Any and all feedback is welcome! The doctor is no help

Although it might be a normal symptom for pregnancy, I havenโt slept properly in what feels like months now. I eat a banana a day, drink as much water I can, and use magnesium body butter at night. Can anyone recommend something that worked for them? I have been looking at Oshun magnesium and/or electrolytes that I can add to water but remember my midwife telling me not to take electrolytes/extra. Any advice welcome, I just wanted to sleep without the constant โleft, right, left, rightโฆโ Sometimes up at 3/4am and still working full-time teaching maths so really struggling. ๐๐ผ
