Gas
My babygirl is 8 weeks as of yesterday. She has always spit up pretty frequently (at the least 3 times a day). She’s combo fed due to me having a lower supply. We tried different bottles and nipples. We have tried dairy free formula and I cut dairy out of my diet too. Then her doctor put her on a formula with rice. Her spitting up decreased then increased again most likely due to us getting a cold. Anyway, she has also struggled with gas. We have to work her legs to help her poop and fart I’d say 90% of the time. The farts sound painful tbh. She will wake up crying, grunting, and sometimes screaming because of gas. She also gets hiccups everyday that can be pretty rough and sound painful. We have gas drops I give her every day sometimes multiple times. We also give her a prebiotic and vitamin D drops every day.
What else can I do for my babygirls gas issues? By the sounds of the context, should I seek medical for her or is it normal?

Unfortunately all sounds completely normal, does she have reflux? If so I tried everything nothing helped but I kept getting told to give him time and by 5 months it completely went away
Are you holding her up for 30 mins after a feed?
For the gas my son was the same he was in a lot of pain, we just did the excercises all the time to help and also there’s a Frida baby windi gas passer we used that helped a lot
I also noticed he would spit up a lot more after formula cos it’s soo much thicker and heavier than breastmilk

Nighttime nappies
Hi all, does anyone have recommendations for a good nappy for nights? 3 month old is sleeping in good stretches but nappies can’t keep up. Tried Aldi and pampers and now on Sainsbury’s and they are great in day but not at night?! Thanks so much

Crying before every nap
My three month old cries before every nap. He’s fine in the night when fed to sleep, but before every single day nap there is 5-25 minutes of crying. We follow wake windows as best we can but it doesn’t seem to matter whether he’s awake one hour or three hours!
Did anyone else have this, and has come out the other side?

Controlling behaviour?
If your partner didn’t force you to go to bed at a certain time, but got annoyed if you went to bed before he was ready or wanted to stay down for longer when he wants to go to bed, would that be considered controlling? Seeing as there’s no forcing involved just getting annoyed by it?

Swaddle
Hey! I’m really interested to hear people’s thoughts/experiences with swaddling for newborns? I’ve heard it’s supposed to be great to keep them relaxed etc but also was told yesterday it’s not a method that they use anymore which is completely new to me!! Any thoughts?

Wind at night
My 6 week old has always slept generally well until about 4am when he starts grunting and crying etc in his sleep struggling with wind. It’s getting so bad he’s screaming in his sleep. We soothe him and then he’ll start again 10 mins later. The only thing that seems to help is laying him on us which obviously isn’t ideal for sleeping.
Any suggestions on anything to help? We’re using gripe water atm but not seeing a significant difference!
