My biggest pieces of advice are: commit heavily (book a week of work and have him nappy and trouserless), set a 30 minute timer and sit them on the potty every time it goes off, understand most kids will never seem interested!
I set a 30 min timer for the first 2 days, sit him on each time, every wee on the potty got 1 chocolate chip and every poo got 2!

I’m struggling too. My little one will kick off every time i mention the potty or get it out.

We had great success for two days and then completely no interest. I didn’t want it to become frustrating so we took a break. Now ask him from time to time and he’s happy to go but we’re not fully committed yet, so will probably restart at some point in the future. My sister’s daughter was potty trained at 3.5 years and for a lot of people that is super late but so what? Who cares exactly? And what difference does it make to everyone

I’m so flustered. My husband and I have been trying to find a church home after moving to Rochester. We are very selective with church homes. we want it to go along with our beliefs , diverse, and have safe childcare. I have 3 toddlers 3 and under so there’s no way we could take them to service without causing a scene. Well today went to a church that we have gone to before. It opened a year ago and we went on the opening day. We didn’t like it too much. It was very chaotic and we said we would give it a chance again one day because it was their 1st day maybe we could try it again in the future. Well today went barely had gas, we were running late to the main church we go to so decided to go to this church that we hadn’t been to in a minute because it worked out better logistically. Well we dropped our 3 sons off and at the end of church we see our son walking in the hall with the pastors wife and another volunteer at the church. He immediately shouts “mama!” I ask “what’s going on”. They proceed to say that “he was found walking outside in the middle of the street following behind a man.” They asked the man is that your son and the man responded no. I am beyond upset. I have always had a hard time trusting leaving my sons with anyone. I have gotten better over the years because I feel I have no choice when it comes to us going to church. We spoke to daycare teacher and she repeatedly apologized right along with the pastors wife. It still just doesn’t feel good enough. They gave us stickers to confirm that the child belongs to us and somehow that still didn’t work. We have no idea how my son just slipped out of the childcare room and ended up outside in downtown Rochester. If anyone has any idea on what we should do that would be much appreciated. Keep in mind the rooms are not built for children. The church is having service out of a random older building downtown.
But just know we won’t be back! I’m so upset 😭

This is including public toilet. At what age would you let them go on their own inside a cubicle and just wait outside for them?

My husband and I been together for 5 years , married for 1 1/2. When we first got together I went with him to a quince ( his cousins ) that’s where I met everyone ( his whole family etc ) . I got a long with his cousins.. this one girl that I assumed was his cousin came up to me complementing me whatever. Ig his cousins seen that n told me that my husband has something with her years ago and I was in shock because I’m like umm how come he didn’t tell me?? I told him about it and he told me that yes they did things ( sexually) but it was never nothing outside of that. I had my questions and he answered. Fast forward to now! She comes around because her parents are close to my in laws . I keep it respectful but I don’t go beyond that. She came to our baby shower which whatever but wtf?? I feel like she keeps it respectful too but she throws things at me. Like current words she says are specifically for me.. whatever I let it go. Anyways yesterday people came over to the house because there was a soccer game on . Her parents came but not her. It’s night and my husband and I are outside with her parents and my in laws. We are just talking giggling.. mind you his dad is drunk n he’s so dumb when he’s drunk. He was talking about something and he told her parents “ everyone knows my son had something good with your daughter , it ended and now he’s with Angelica , which is good cus she’s a good person “ and I’m like huh?? Something good? So I’m just there but I am heated and confused. I look at my husband in a weird way n he just puts his head down and I go inside. He follows me.. but I just told him I needed space. Am I wrong? Am I over exaggerating. I know that they did something sexual YEARS ago. But I asked him if they ever dated , went out with eachother or if he liked her and he told me no that they barely talked and that he fucked her a couple times. That it was nothing outside of that. He told me when I first found out when I had my questions. So he lied to me. Because obviously it was something if his parents knew about it.. I’m upset because why didn’t he tell me? Why did he lie about it?? Why did his dad do that ? I feel dumb because she comes to all our parties and talks to him n everything. This morning he brought it up and told me that it shouldn’t bother me because it was years ago. I’m upset. So upset. To the point where I’m going to give him the same energy back. Someone help

Daycare teacher here. I’m a lead teacher at a daycare and my class is 3 year olds. My ratio is 15 to 1. I have exactly 15 kids in my class. 5 of them are NOT potty trained. They aren’t even in the process of training. I’ve communicated with parents about it. They’ll tell me “oh they’re just not ready” and other excuses. If a 3 year old can come tell me that they need a new diaper/pull up every time they poop then they are definitely ready and can start potty training. The rooms built for 3 year olds at my center don’t have changing tables. I have to change my kids while they’re standing. My director expects me to watch 14 kids while also changing a diaper in the bathroom that’s off to the corner of the room. We have floaters but my director thinks a floater is not needed in a room that’s within ratio. I could get written up or fired if anything were to happen to any of my kids if I’m stuck in the bathroom changing a diaper. I tried having a talk with my director about this and she basically told me that there was nothing that could be done and that we can’t force parents to do anything they don’t want to do. The least my center could possibly do is have a changing table in the room so I can still have eyes on my other kids. What should I do? BTW we do offer potty training but it does not work if parents aren’t continuing at home.

Just out of interest, as I feel like In the minority among everyone I know (in fact I can safely say I’m the only one I know!) who isn’t giving my baby foods containing sugar and don’t plan on ever doing so until he’s at least way over 2. Is anyone with me? No judgement btw it’s just my personal stance

There was a serious safeguarding incident at my childs school last week involving a 5 year old being taken by an adult without the parents awareness or consent.
My child has a school trip coming up and I'm really anxious about it. I was anxious before but now I really don't want my child going!
Can anyone recommend a tracker/gps type thing? I have android
