Baby’s head circumference measuring at the 6th percentile

My baby was apparently on course to be 11lb, said the community midwife measure the bump 🫣.

Had a growth scan weeks back and they said she hadn’t been growing, she was actually tiny. She was 8th centile and we have been back so many times.

Last week she had grown but only femur length, not head or belly and therefore it messed up the centile abit but they weren’t worried.

Booked for C section at 38 weeks, if the next growth scan shows her little and not much growth we get her out at 37 but guidelines says she would have to be less than 8th to risk it.

My understanding is if they grow in one place but not all it looked overall like you have gone backwards but they do still class it as good growth.

I had been consultant lead, but was discharged back to midwife led care after my last scan because she was measuring above the 10th percentile overall.
When she was measuring on the 3rd percentile and I went in for reduced movements the care was much better and I was kept in all day and then sent for a scan to check the fluid and cord flow too. Since she is back above the 10th percentile now everything just seems to be dismissed even though she is clearly not growing properly considering the size of her head..
I had been having a consultant review after each growth scan, but my consultant was on sick so every scan I would have a different consultant which I don’t think helped!
I have an appointment with my community midwife on Tuesday so I may just bring it up with her although I’m not sure how much help she will be! Or when I’m in again with reduced movements (because I’m sure I will be!) then I could just try and be more vocal 😂

I was told that the variation could be down to different people doing the scan and each stenographer can look at the measurements differently ive had similar to yourself im now 37 weeks has a scan on Saturday and they work on the average
My little one is 16th percentile now so just waiting for natural labour dont have to be induced

I was induced for reduced movements and small baby size with my first so I would question this, if this is something you are worried about x
