My induction has failed, I had an emergency C section, I was scared to death too but to be honest it all went really well. You can feel some pressure but no pain whatsoever. Also they used local anesthetic before the spinal block so I did not feel a thing. The recovery is a bit trickier, I am not gonna lie, specially the first time you stand up (which was the morning after my delivery). Try to be on top of painkillers, take them as instructed even if in that moment it does not hurt. For the first 2 days I was on prescribed stronger painkillers and they worked really well. Just try to rest as much as possible, don't lift anything heavier than your baby and get as much support as you can for the first days.
I think about a week after I was able to move and feel fairly normal.
You've got this, wishing you all the best.

I had an elective c section and it was an amazing experience I had my partner with me and held my hand when they put the spinal blocker in (already had local anaesthetic) the only things they shocked me was how bright the room was and with the spinal blocker you can feel where they place the needle you cannot feel any pain or discomfort when they place it I promise as I was worried but honestly you can’t they were absolutely amazing I felt no pain just some pressure and before I knew it my baby was here please don’t be scared it will be okay just have someone in the room with you that you trust if you can and I would look up at ways to support you on how to get out of bed as that was the hardest part of my recovery was getting into the sitting position from lying down but I’m so glad I went for the c section over a vaginal birth it was so positive and I felt no pain at all I hope everything goes well and if you want to talk or ask any questions please ask away x

My induction failed and i had an emergency c-section. Recovery was painless, i kept waiting for this daunting big wave of pain to arrive, but it never did. I was sore as expected, but completely fine otherwise and on my feet again not long after. As far as the actual surgery, i felt a bit sick during it & was physically sick afterwards, no clue why, but that was the worst of it. It was over pretty quickly ☺️ have a safe delivery xx

I had an emergency with my first after a failed induction, I was absolutely petrified. I don’t remember much from it as I had been labouring for 27 hours 😩
My 2nd baby I had a planned c section and it was the best experience. I was way more scared but I done it. It totally cured my birth trauma, it’s amazing what your body will tolerate for your baby to come… no matter what way. Please don’t think you’ve failed because you need a section. You got this ❤️ good luck beautiful xxx

I have bad hospital anxiety. I was nervous just getting my blood pressure checked before birth. I had an elective because I was terrified to push. I know labor can last a while and my hospital anxiety would be there the whole time mixing with my push anxiety and it could lead to an emergency c-section so I figured opting for the sunroof was better. Many ppl told me I don't want to. My DR was on board with whatever. I had my baby girl on 9/9. I was nervous but everything went great. The nurses and docs were great and yeah the IV and the spinal sucked a bit ... or a lot BUT overall my experience was great and I'm glad I didn't let anyone talk me out. I had a combined spinal and epidural and so that may be why I actually didnt feel much of anything at all in terms of pain or even pressure. Can't speak on if recovery is harder but I can say I'm only 11 days out and I feel good. Stay on top of your meds and don't push yourself in terms of doing too much too fast but movement does help.
Good luck 🙂

For me leading up to the c section was the hard & the surgery wasn’t as bad as everyone says. Recovery, try not to lift heavy things
After my waters breaking and what felt like literally forever with contractions on and off and then being induced my beautiful son is here I can’t believe it. I am OBSESSED cannot wait for his sister to meet him

My bedroom is a tip. The plan was to clear it out last week. But I've been having such bad paint with prodomal labour that I can barely do anything.
My thought process clean it once baby arrives.
Its nothing crazy just piles of clothes as I was sorting through which to keep, give to charity and chuck.
Now I would rather the ground swallow me whole than someone see my how a mess.
The question is when midwifes do the visit at your house the day after birth. Do they look in all your rooms???
Or can they just stay in the living. Say what they have to say and be on there way....

I am 21 weeks pregnant. I have been feeling my baby move since 19 weeks, but I haven’t felt any movement for the past two days. I’m worried. Is this normal, or should I get checked?

Hi Ladies. I’ll be having my 3rd c section later this year. For others who’ve had 3 sections. What gestation did they make you go to with the 3rd? Thank you 🙏
