People keep commenting on how big im getting and dont get me wrong it's definitely clear im pregnant now (22+5) but people keep making comments and I have some prior body issues I was still working on when I fell pregnant so hearing things like 'youre getting so big!' Even when meant harmlessly can be quite hard for me to hear even if I do know i am getting bigger and am comfortable with the changes happening since I know it means baby is just getting bigger and my body is working with that. Just feels like the amount of unsolicited comments made is insane especially as a FTM with no prior experience with pregnancy

I’m a FTM and 24+6 and I get the opposite “Are you sure you’re pregnant?” “There’s no bump there.” It’s really difficult but I try to laugh it off, always seems to be from people we don’t really know so can move on from it x

Personally, and I know easier to say but I just try and ignore comments like that as much as possible and just remind myself that baby is growing. I really don’t understand why people feel the need to say oh your bump looks big or small every pregnancy is different and women carry pregnancy is so many different ways. X

I understand this, I’m 22 weeks and when I told my dad and his partner at 13 weeks, his partner wouldn’t stop commenting on my belly “maybe the baby will come early”, “haven’t you told people at work yet surely they know by your stomach”. It made me a bit angry to be honest as I was struggling with my weight prior to becoming pregnant due to weight gain from medication.

Ive carried big with all my babies and these comments have always angered me so much. you’re not alone! I just try and remind myself I’m pregnant not fat 😂

I really dislike the bump comments too. I have body dysmorphia and the change in my body is something I'm mentally struggling with.
Its mainly my mother-in-law and I know it comes from a good place for her, and she's excited, but I feel its maybe something to keep to yourself. Or talk to your friends about it. One of my partners siblings tried to get me to show my bump on a video call, luckily my partner knows me well and declined. He even stood in front of the phone camera to keep me out of view which I appreciated.
I just feel like its a different experience for everyone and what one person thinks is a nice comment, really isn't for others.
I'm 35+4 but throughout my pregnancy (and last) had lots of braxton hicks/tightenings and threatened preterm labour. Despite 3x positive actim partus preterm labour tests it has never come to anything, on a couple of occasions I was admitted for steroids and monitoring but it has always passed with no cervical changes or dilation.
I've been having lots of irregular tightenings and discomfort generally but yesterday was a bit more intense through the day and I timed them in the evening, carried on in a similar pattern for a few hours. It died down, I slept and today is back to 'my normal' of irregular, uncomfortable tightenings and generally feeling achy and uncomfortable.
Has anyone else had similar to this and how long did it last before you went into labour? I didn't labour with my first baby as I ended up with an elective but hoping for a VBAC this time round
