UK mums - Do you send your child to nursery in stained clothing?

For the most part nursery is where my daughter gets the stains 😂 so damn right I'm sending those stains back in rather than screwing up the new things

not a UK mom, but as long as there are no marketing pics I'd send my baby in the clothes they sent her back in looking crazy 😂 wash em & this what she is wearing in their care

I'm sending her with stained clothes. Do they use a bib/sleeved bib during meal times ?

I only send her in stained clothes. Shes very much into messy play and ive tried everything to get the stains out. She starts the year off from her birthday with nice new clothes (shes pretty on point when she goes up a size) and then within a few weeks she has a "nursery wardrobe"

My tip for getting stains out is send it to my gran and get her to fix it 😂😂

We had specific clothes for nursery, cheap bundles from Vinted. They get it stained they wear until it has holes in as far as I am concerned.

When my son was going to nursery I spent the first few months at the kitchen sink with the vanish bar trying to get out the stains out of his jumper and eventually I stopped caring... His clothes were clean just stained... It was frustrating because I remember years ago they made the kids wear aprons. Nope not any more apparently😂

Ex nursery staff here - absolutely send in the stained clothes , if you’re worried about being judged the first few times just make a comment at drop off like “ and Ik how much they like messy play so they’re in clothes we absolutely don’t mind getting dirty!” Or “ we know how much they… and their clothes are loving their food atm so we’ve put them in our older clothes so they can fully explore everything without their clothes being an issue !” However most nursery staff get it so I wouldn’t even worry xx

Honestly I was like you and felt like I’d get judged! But I was going thru that much clothes I thought you know what a small stain here and there won’t matter and not one person mentioned it. It was mainly pen and paint stains that won’t budge on white t shirts x

Yes. I also send him in the stuff that doesn’t fit too well anymore because it just gets trashed. I swear he rolls around in the mud like a hippo or something.

I buy the top/legging multi packs from Asda whenever she goes up a size and they're her clothes for nursery. Keeps it simple 😂
