Has anyone’s little one done this? Our girlie is 17 months old and has started playing a game where she throws a toy away or puts it in her bed or in some other hidden spot and waves good bye and starts crying. Then she repeats it again and again until shes almost inconsolable.
She’s also started some nights requesting to be put in her bed straight away (we feed to sleep most nights) and waves goodbye to us and cries her little eyes out. Then she gets mad if I pull her out but is so upset when I put her back in the bed. The only thing that breaks the cycle and gets her to sleep is feeding her while my husband and I kiss (I kid you not - she literally will request it and gets mad if we stop).
Anyway I have no idea what to do. She’s giving wanting independence but terrified by the concept vibes.
Has anyone experienced something like this??

Does she watch lots of dramatic love stories? Disney princess movies? 🤣 Kinda sounds like she likes to get a good cry out. My daughter loves sad stories and movies. Enjoys crying during the sad parts. She has lots of happy tears too. Definitely didn’t learn it from me 🤷🏻♀️

She sounds a bit sensitive. Mine are too tho! My youngest used to scream and cry real tears if we set her on grass.
I use the Huckleberry app, and a lot of the advice for daytime naps seems to be blackout curtains, white noise, etc. But that feels a bit excessive to me when it’s the middle of the day, so I’m looking for more realistic advice.
My baby is 3.5 months old and actually sleeps quite well at night. He usually only wakes 2–3 times to breastfeed. We used to co-sleep, but he has recently moved into a next-to-me cot and is doing well there at night.
Daytime naps are a completely different story! He pretty much refuses to sleep anywhere except his BabyBjörn bouncer. Please don’t come at me about the bouncer, I sit right beside him and watch him closely the entire time.
The problem is that because I have to stay there watching him, I can’t get anything done while he naps.
Has anyone managed to get their baby to nap in a cot during the day without completely blacking out the room? I’d love realistic tips on what actually helped your babies sleep during the day in a normal, light room. Did they eventually just get used to it? Any routines or tricks that worked for you?

Weird one, my little girl is in a continuous cycle of trying to do headstands in bed. She worms around pushing her head face down against the mattress and rams it up toward the frame of the bed. I try and try to redirect her to a more comfy position but it is constant. She’s fighting naps and night time sleep a fair bit too and this behaviour has been around for quite a few weeks now, although she slept through for the first time in forever last night.
We thought it was teething, then I took her to my gp yesterday just to rule out ear infection. I’m wondering if it’s her own way of self soothing? Sometimes she’s quite chilled doing it and other times it’s whilst she’s crying. We’ve checked for trapped wind, give her infacol and probiotics and ruled out allergens etc in case it was tummy upset. When we thought it was teething we also gave her calpol and teething gel and it didn’t stop her doing it. I don’t know if it’s a regression behaviour or a phase or whether somethings wrong?
Has anyone else had this with their kiddos? I’m a ftm and I’m just trying to figure out if it’s normal. 😅

Morning! I hoping there’s some other parents like me and in the same situation or out the other side. 🤞🏼
We were advised to remove by a dentist as they were just starting to move, so to avoid further moving to remove before her next appt. UK based.
*Our LO is 2 (end Aug) and only has dummy for naps and bedtime alone for a long time*
We removed our LO dummy Friday AM, ahead of nap and bedtime via the dummy fairy. We have completed night 4.
Day 1 - Went slightly better than we anticipated (a lot of asking for a dummy’s)
Day 2 - Nap refusal but 4+ night wakes (no mention of dummy) awake for the day 05:10am
Day 3 - Nap Refusal, but did end up napping following a car journey. Bedtime then had further 3 night wakes (no mention of dummy’s) awake for day 05:25
Day 4 - THE WORST OF IT ALL. Fought for 40 mins for nap, did nap for 1hr14. Then bedtime, seemed to ‘settle’ better mentioned dummy 6 times. Went to sleep after 45mins but then woke at 23:30 for 1hr15mins distressed, tantrums and not even about dummy. This then happened again at 04:01. (Awake for the day)
Bedtime is in normal window 7pm-8pm but morning wake time is now very pre 6am. (5:00-5:30)
We are struggling, our little one is distressed and struggling with lack of sleep. Is anyone able to provide guidance and assistance on how long their LO’s took.
I’m not looking for judgement or mean comments that I have seen in the past to other parents. I’m just a parent wanting to hear some humanised stories. Thank you in advance. 💓💓

Online I read somewhere around 4-5 months day naps could start lengthening. Has anyone’s baby started doing this who previously only napped 30-40 min? Just curious!

My 9 week old baby is exclusively breastfed with a bottle. Yesterday was the first day she hasn’t done a proper poo. Should I be concerned? She also has been having less day naps but yesterday slept for most of the day but still woke and had her bottle every 3 hours. Could she be going through a growth spurt?

Not sure where else to ask this, but I recently brought some unopened nappies on vinted (pampers pants). They have just arrived today and when checking packaging I noticed the manufacturing date was 2018!
I know nappies don't have an expiration date but would you still use them? I haven't actually opened the packaging yet or accepted the order yet just in case.
These will be for my 8 month old.
I've never seen nappies like this before as people tend to use them straight away.😂
I brought 3 packs for £10 and all 3 are dated 2018.
