I did the second night after having my babygirl it started. My therapist told me it was postpartum OCD. Also it’s ego dystonic which means it goes against your morals and who you are. It’s been a long journey but my baby is now 7 months and some days are better than others but with time it tones down. I had to go on medication I’m taking Zoloft which helps the thoughts and anxiety. Please feel free to message me for anything❤️. I have had similar thoughts like yours. You’re not alone. 💕

I take 200 mg

You should speak honestly with a doctor, as soon as possible, about what you’re experiencing—especially if you are having any thoughts of harming yourself or your child. Doctors won’t judge you and they will try and help you. I had severe PPD and PPA immediately from the start with my baby. I was having full blown panic attacks every night, I couldn’t leave him or sleep because I was afraid of him suffocating/not breathing, I spent all day crying and feeling utterly hopeless… It was dark and terrifying. Zoloft and Zurzuvae are medications that helped me immensely. Getting help with caring for the baby, so I could sleep more, was also an incredibly important part of managing my PPD/PPA. Just remember that taking care of your mental and physical health IS taking care of your baby.

Just to say that if the intrusive thoughts are distressing to you then its your mind playing tricks, you dont want to hurt your baby. This is more common than you think

I take zoloft for almost 2 years now and not entirely because ppd but some. Mainly because I have other family issues that I cant get away from and I dont take it ill lose my mind and just vany think straight at all and feel overwhelmed and want to cry. Do not feel bad about ask your doctor for help. I enjoy taking my meds daily because I know i can function and be the mom i need to be with it. ❤️

Yea everyday it was bad ! I was diagnosed OCD and it’s rough but I’m now on 20mg lexapro and talk weekly to a therapist:) it’s better

Yup. Was a lot worse when mine was a new born. Kept thinking id fall down the stairs and break her neck and all sorts. Still get them sometime. The other day she was laying on the floor and I had one that I could trip and fall and stomp on her head. I just either acknowledge them and move on or go wow brain, thats illogical shush in the corner you go
What the fuck is that.
Looks like no seat belt, just some bar thing, and a kid that’s small enough to be rear facing in a forward only car seat?? Someone tell me there’s more to this and it’s not as crazy as it looks

Why are we having to pay extra for seats?! I really can't afford to add any more on to the expense. So I'm going to check in, and hope we are next to each other. We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children.
How likely is it that we will be split - and staff care enough to give seats together? Please let me know if this has happened to anyone. I really can't be adding £300 more just for tickets.

How do I stop a man snoring so I can actually sleep for once please. If he goes to sleep first I am fucked essentially. I’m so fed up I’m exhausted. He’s so loud it’s concerning but the doctor just keeps saying take antihistamines 😭😭😭 yeah we’ve tried them dumb nose strips and all that stuff. Im also pregnant so the exhaustion is just hitting extra hard, I can’t cope with my toddler on one hour of sleep again after he’s left for work😭

When it comes to our late afternoon and evening feeds, we seem to hit the same problem; he just won’t unlatch! Baby boy is 5 weeks and will just chew on my nipple, I assume to soothe, and if I ever try to take him off he screams. He’ll even be falling asleep and still hates it, and then won’t sleep at all!
Any one experienced something similar and know how to work around this? I’m sore and need a small bit of my evenings back!

Can anyone share how you sleep trained your babies without letting them cry it out? My LO is currently almost 5 months but absolutely refuses to fall asleep on his crib on his own.

To my surprise my period came back today!😭 Little bit concerned as I’m only 8 weeks post c-section and my baby is breastfed other than 2 feeds at 8pm and 12pm. Has anyone else got their period back yet? I was expecting another good few months!
