35 weeks no birth plan
I’m 35 weeks high bp and gestational diabetes still with no birth plan is this normal? I feel they are being pretty blasé with me I haven’t got any more midwife appointments face to face only on the phone

They should be discussing plans at 36 weeks, have you got a 36 weeks appointment booked?
You should have at least a couple more appointments face to face! I have one at 36 weeks and another at 38 and more if I go over 40 weeks. I have had a pretty uneventful pregnancy so can only assume this is standard... Check with them please and maybe push for more face to face appointments.
In terms of birth plan we had an appointment about it where we could ask questions at 34 weeks, but midwife asked me to type up my own birth plan so we pretty much had to come up with it on our own but were welcome to ask for questions and guidance.

Request an in person either with them or someone that takes your insurance. They have birth plan print out templates that allow you to select skin to skin, delayed chord clamping, and ways to cope with pain medicinally.
I’m 38+3 and they haven’t spoke to me about a birth plan I had my 36 week appt and I have one next week🥲

Is induction the right decision?
Apologies in advance for the essay but it’s been a long 36 hours.
I was sent to triage following my 38 week appointment to monitor slightly high fetal heart rate at 170. Heart rate stayed at a high base rate throughout and after the hour nothing had really changed however a doctor came to let me know that they could arrange a scan in the coming days and I could go home to which i told him I wasn’t 100% comfortable as the issue seemingly hadn’t changed and could they keep me on the monitor for a further hour. This resulted in them moving me to the antenatal ward and an overnight stay. After a couple of okay monitoring sessions the heart rate was again too high and I was told I needed to have a c section as baby would not manage well through a labour. Upon being moved down to labour ward they monitored me one more time and it had levelled out but said they were going to proceed with induction to which I asked if could I sleep on it and be monitored and have a scan first thing then decide as it all escalated very quickly.
Anyway, morning monitoring and scan seemed fine so assumed I’d be going home however they put me back on the monitor for an hour and apparently heart rate was up again. Long story short, they have gone back and forth between c section and induction all day but basically baby needed to come either way. It was also mentioned it could possibly be due to cord being around baby’s neck when he moved?
Got moved to labour ward to get induced and after monitoring they said they were happy for me to go home to shower and eat and come back for an induction. Upon returning they’ve now decided that actually my results are fine and I can come back at 39 weeks to be induced???
My concern is really wanted to wait for a spontaneous labour and have as minimal medical intervention as possible but after all the back and forth today I don’t know how I could go home and relax for a week, particularly since I would have been non the wiser had I not had my midwife appointment. Due to this I have opted to be induced in the morning but now I’m lying here wondering if I should have him this early when apparently everything is fine now and I was against one in the first place.
What would you do in my shoes? 😫

Swelling after procedure
One thing I didn't expect and don't remember from my other two cesareans was all this swelling in my legs, ankles, and feet..I have kankles now 😂 I truly don't remember this happening before, but it has been 12 years since my last. This is brutal! I can feel the extra liquid in my feet when I walk. My clothes barely fit, and my shoes are so tight. I've heard that elevating my feet helps as well as compression socks, but I'm just wondering how long I have to deal with this. Has anyone else had major swelling after their C-section? If so what helped you besides what I mentioned.

Everyone says boys are the hardest when it comes to name and they weren’t not joking!
I even asked my nearly 4 years old what we should name her baby brother and her suggestions was ‘Cutie’… cute for a baby name but I am not sure that would be a appropriate for a grown man one day! 😂

Hey, I was wondering if anyone would know when a period would come back after having a baby. I ended up having a c section in the end and was bleeding for about 2/3 weeks. My baby is now 8 nearly 9 weeks old. Any advice

Rant incoming
Sorry but I just need to get this off my chest and to see if anyone else feels the same.
I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant and apart from the booking midwife appointment and scan I’ve had no support from the NHS what so ever. I was referred to a service but haven’t heard a thing and now this morning I nearly passed out on the train. Tried to call midwife but I cannot find a number and when I did they said if your under 17 weeks then call your gp. I just feel totally alone in this and have no one to ask any of the important questions like is nearly passing out normal!?
