I am 39 weeks pregnant. Ive had a baby before but oh my God I'm so nervous about birth. I'm trying to be zen and all chill and just wait for baby to make their appearance. I feel more anxious than first time around. Does anyone have any words of affirmation? Or anything that really helped them. Thank you 😊

Not much help here but a first time mum and feeling equally quite terrified of birth and the unknown. I’ve been trying to read positive birth stories but also just having an open mindset to whatever happens happens!

Sorry you're through this mama, what really helped me first time round was:
- the Positive Birth Company videos
- watching lots of videos of hypnobirthing
- binge watching positive birth stories from spontaneous labour to inductions and C-sections
As far as positive affirmations: really focus on the fact that your body was built to birth! Your body's grown and carried your baby up to this point, and you have everything you need to birth your baby. It's a natural process and, even if you need some help along the way, labour is just a process for you to meet your baby!

It is my first, I am terrified and just gonna wing it. I am in denial it is happening

My favourite phrase of affirmation is 'my contractions/surges aren't more powerful than I am, because they are me'.
I'm also a second time mum and am really focusing on that moment just after the birth! I feel like the thought of my first born will (hopefully) give me so much strength! Xx

I m almost 38 weeks with my second too and I feel also more scared this time. I had a wonderful first birth and I m scared this second time could not be as amazing as my first was. Also I feel less prepared than I was with my first. I have not a lot of time to read and inform myself as I used to with my first. But then I remember that my body knows what to do. Also during labor, words I really love are "every contraction gets you closer to your baby"
We can do this 💪🏼
Last night at about 3am I had a fall, I’m 29 weeks+2 days pregnant. Thankfully I didn’t land directly on my belly but I did land quite hard on my side. I’ve definitely bashed both my knees quite hard. I’m quite concerned because I don’t know what’s going on with the baby but I do have a scan today at the hospital so they should be able to see if there’s any problems there. Has anyone else fallen during their pregnancy? Have you had any problems because of it?

So I’m now 10.5 weeks pregnant with 3rd baby. My 12 week scan is booked in for the week after next.
My first two children are twins a boy and girl so most people probably think we’re not going to have anymore. Also my daughter is SEN and non verbal at age 3. Our son had a speech delay but now is a very chatty toddler and has completely caught up 😊.
Anyway I’ve only told my mum and sister that I’m pregnant and no one else knows. I can’t help but feel we will get some negativity with announcing this one.
We don’t ask for help.. never ask for baby sitters. I stay at home with my twins and they go to nursery twice a week and my partner works full time. The only person who occasionally looks after the twins is my mum for the odd appointment and we are ok financially.
The older I get though the more bitter people seem to be in general which I don’t think is personal but people just seem like that these days. We did have some negativity with my twins which was odd as I was 30 and in a stable relationship 😅
How was it when you announced your 3rd? Did anyone else feel this way?

Has anyone else been diagnosed with polyhydramnios in the third trimester and told to rest more? How did you cope with the discomfort and stress, and were you put on bed rest or just encouraged to take it easy?

Where are people going on their babymoon? Is everyone doing it? I feel a bit anxious to go to another country and what if something goes wrong. 🤞
