I’m just waiting on the NHS speech therapy last week we had a parent coaching session i don’t think that will help my little one and it’s a very slow process
Has anybody any idea on costs to see improvement (of course will vary per child)? Or has heard that it’s worth the investment going private?
Any advice on this please ??

We recently had some private sessions for my son as the NHS wait list is so long. We also were invited to group sessions first but I didnt find it helped too much so we went private.
The assessment was £150 (i think) and the sessions were £75 each. He has had 8 sessions, one a week and its gone really well. We have seen a really big improvement so have agreed to take a break and probably go back in 3-6 months if needed. Although he is still on the NHS wait list so im waiting to see what that brings.
Happy to talk it though more if you want to message :) x

Hiya? My son also needs speech therapy, What are the private sessions like? Are they face to face or online? how long is each sessions and are they group sessions with multiple kids or just one on one? X x :)
That’s good to hear you had improvement!
My boy has got single words and i feel his understanding is not good. In nhs last week we had a parent coaching session i don’t think that was worth it and my concern is he will be starting school next year i really worry about his speech that’s reason looking for a private one .
May I know what are the private sessions like
I checked a few it is really expensive

The sessions we had were 1:1 in person. They were really good as they would also do a home visit or nursery visit if needed but we just went to them as my son really enjoyed it there.
Its basically learn through play so each time SLT would set up different toys and we would interact that way. She also filmed us and we watched it back and she gave hints and tips to do at home.
Im in Essex and its Clarity Speech and Language, if by chance you are nearby I would definitely recommend xx

I will have exclusively fed my 3 month old breastmilk in 2 weeks time and I think for my mental health I want to combo feed. Does anyone have any tips on this? I currently pump 7 times within 24 hours and would like to reduce that so I can live without having to pump every 3 hours. Any tips or advice would be appreciated. Xxx

Do you think it’s ok to lock 3.5 year olds bedroom door? She keeps coming out and waking up the whole family so struggling to function. Or is it cruel to do that?

Is it okay to co sleep in this position with my 5 and a half month old? She mostly sleeps in her cot but sometimes she just wants me. Her face is completely uncovered and chin isn’t on chest etc. I know it’s not ideal but she seems to sleep so much better like this than on her back. My arm is cradling her. I don’t breastfeed and she doesn’t feed during the night. Need reassurance that it’s okay or an explanation why it isn’t😥

I exclusively breastfeed and my little one is 7 weeks old, never had any issues before now but this past week he's choked on my milk at almost every feed and is gulping it like he's never been fed.
He generally feeds well, I alternate breasts each feed so like he'll feed on the left then next feed on the right side, but they seem too full for him and he coughs and chokes like he can't handle my milk flow. If i hand express beforehand so it isn't as full for him he is dissatisfied with the feed and wants the other side which is then too much for him and he's sick🫠🫠
Has anyone had anything like this? What did you do about it?, I feel awful watching him cough and he's spilling milk all down me which is not ideal when out of the house.
