I had my first sweep done Saturday

I’m 39 weeks and 2 days. I was only 1cm dilated.
After having it done I experienced cramping and slight cramping today. I had some brown bleeding after the sweep then today I woke up this morning to this. Is this ok?

I think this is what they call a "bloody show" of your mucus plug, so yes it is ok. It doesn't always mean much unless your waters have also broken? Otherwise you can lose a mucus plug a few times, I think (I'm a ftm but I've been reading up on this stuff.. hoping I'm right!) but a bloody show could imply labour is soon for you.

I would ring your maternity assessment centre / midwife just to let them know

I always call to confirm whenever I'm in doubt. It won't cost you much, other than your time! From what I understand, some bleeding and cramping is normal and to be expected with a sweep.

this is a normal symptom after a sweep so I wouldn’t worry too much! I’d definitely ring up triage and see what they say tho just incase xx

reduced movement

i’m 18+4 wks and i’ve been feeling baby kick a lot for over a week now especially when i eat but i’ve not felt anything today. is this normal should i be concerned?

Development so far

My nearly 6 month old can roll onto his tummy when laying on his back. Only to his left side. Can't do the right side and doesnt roll from tummy to back. He doesn't sit up yet either. Is other people babies at this sort of stage? I see so many rolling both ways, wanting to get to crawl position, sitting up, holding own bottles even weaning already. Are they all advance and mine is normal or mine slightly behind?
