How are our 8 months olds sleeping?

I wanted to ask this as this is my second boy but he is completely opposite to my first!

We co-slept up until a month ago and he’s now sleeping in his cot every nap and at bedtime, however his sleep just feels all over the place!

He has two naps a day but they only last around 30/45 mins (I’ve tried everything to stretch them but think he’s not much a day sleeper) and I always make sure he goes to bed around 4 hours after his last nap and he will sleep for around 4/5 hours and wake for a feed (I still feed to sleep) and then wakes again every 2 hours until 6am wake up. But some nights he can wake hourly after the first feed in the middle of the night.

Is everyone else’s baby’s sleep different every night? Still waking 2/3 or sometimes 4 times in the night? 😅

Is the feeding to sleep maybe the issue?

Literally sounds like my son. Everyone I ask tells me it’s a boy thing as my elder two girls were totally different? I feel like a zombie 🧟‍♀️

My 2 girls slept and do still sleep all night my 8 month old boy is killing me off 😴😴 might give me a good stretch one night then the next week we are up I dont how many times 🫩 every night is different

My older boy is 3 now but he’s always slept amazing! He goes straight to bed at 7 and sleeps through till 6:30.. 🤷‍♀️ every baby is different aren’t they😅 xx

Mine was sleeping through the night but she's just moved from her bassinet to a cot finally, so adjusting to that 😂 she's waking up several times in the night and verrrry early in the morning currently!

It’s very hit and miss at the minute tbh, mostly miss🤣 she was doing longer stretches from 5 weeks and completely sleeping through up until the day she turned 8 months, she’s now 1 week off 9 months and it’s getting a little better. Mostly waking up, wanting a cuddle, as soon as I pick her up she goes straight back to sleep, but doesn’t stay asleep in her cot long. I think co sleeping would fix it for us but we already have a toddler that comes in our bed every night so I don’t really think it’s a safe option for her. The past couple of nights she has done more like 4-5 hour stretches before waking up. Up every hour is soooo hard, I can survive on a solid 4 hours a night but a 20 minutes here, 45 minutes there kills me🤣😭

My eight month old is all over the place. Sometimes sleeping through, other times (like last night) waking 3-4 times. I know feeding to sleep is definitely part of the problem for us as she has that as a sleep association but breaking it has been really difficult.

My son is 8m and teething I usually feed him, leave him with half a bottle (breastmilk) in case he wants a top up. Give him some calpol and then put some bonjella on his gums to soothe any pain he might have. Give it 20 minutes for the calpol to kick in and then soothe to sleep. He typically sleeps 8-10 hours now.

How long did baby sleep in your room?

My little one is only just 4 months but is rolling and already pretty much grown out of his next to me crib in size! I am an anxious mum and a stickler for following safety guidelines so we are going to dismantle and rebuild his big cot in our bedroom. Obviously that's a big of a faff for just 2 months but the more I think about it the more I can't even think about him moving into his own bedroom anytime soon... It feels so wrong to me to just stick my infant in his own bedroom? 😂 But obviously I know it needs to happen at some point so I'm just curious to see when other parents did the transition whether earlier or later?

Stains

Moms, what actually works for getting stains out of your kids’ clothes? 😅 I’m dealing with grease marks and all the random toddler stains. What products do you swear by, and do you pretreat, soak, or just throw everything in the wash?

Naps at nursery

My little boy will be 10 months old when he starts nursery, he currently needs holding/cuddling to fall asleep then I can place him down in his cot to nap once’s he’s fell asleep. He won’t settle on his own it just results in him screaming crying. But I’m worried about when he starts nursery, will the staff there do the same at nap time or will he expected to self settle himself to sleep?

Why are people posting pics of blood abd mucus plugs without the sensitive content warning??? Not everyone has the stomach to see that, there's first time moms on here who don't need to see it like have some consideration for others??

Night time

Hey moms I’m a new momma my daughter is 3 days old she’s cried most all night she’s been a great behaved baby but at night she cries and cries she’s been fed clean diaper I try to sooth her and I feel just mentally exhausted any advice on newborns who cry at night and tips for feeling overwhelmed being a new mom

Vaccinations

My boy has his first round of vaccinations today. How did people prep for it? Some HV & docs say to give calpol 30 mins before the appointment but some say don’t….. what did you do?
