My daughter has started waking up several times a night, crying for us and coming into our room. Previously she would sleep straight through and play by herself if she woke before we got her up. I’ll add that we moved house and she started nursery last month and we took the side off her bed not long ago. So lots of changes that are probably making everything worse, but we are absolutely exhausted. She gets up around 5 ready to play, despite waking up several times in the night. We tried having her in our bed but we couldn’t sleep at all and she was still waking very early.
I know everyone says to do whatever you need to do during regressions to ensure everyone gets sleep but none of us is sleeping well at all. My daughter is so cranky and whiny during the day so she’s clearly in need of more sleep. We don’t know whether to ride it out and do whatever’s necessary or be consistent in getting her to sleep by herself. (I will also add that she has not napped since she turned 2 but we have tried earlier and later bedtimes and she’s still waking at 5 and multiple times a night.) Any advice is greatly appreciated—if this is what having a 3yo is like I am definitely not ready 😮💨

Ahhh this is why my little one is waking multiple times a night too then! I didn’t even think of a sleep regression.
Not sure if it will help in your situation but I’ve done alot of pre-warning. I do it all the time anyway but I’ve started in regards to bed time.
So before she goes to sleep I will say “if you wake up in the night, you need to lay back down and stay in your bed. You don’t keep getting in and out or calling unless you really need me”.
Then at one point it was getting really bad (I have a camera in her room) I said you don’t get out of bed until the green light comes on. From my phone I will put the light on the camera. Most mornings she would still wake very early but would lay there And not disturb anyone until the light was on.
If she doesn’t feel well or needs the toilet she will still wake us but if she just wakes for the sake of it she will just lay there and talk to herself until she falls asleep.
Hope this helps, good luck x

My little boy is 18 months old, I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant and having to use progesterone pessaries to help with my pregnancy. I've read it can lessen your milk supply and he only feeds during the night, his sleep has become progressively worse these last few nights, he's waking up almost every 40 mins at max 1hr and half crying and won't settle till he's with me and wants boob. The morning sickness is in full swing and I feel the very little sleep isn't helping. He's never slept through the night and has always had a few night wakes but they are getting worse.
Do you think it could be my milk supply? Has anyone else been through anything similar? Are there things you tried/done that's helped?
I've seen the bedtime creams all over tiktok, does it actually work?

I have the cosatto next to me crib. It states that the mattress is 78cm x 44cm but I'm struggling to find sheets to fit it.
Has anyone else got this and can recommend any sheets please? Thankyou 😊

I’ve just had the health visitor over for my 7 week old sons 6/8 week check and was wondering if this is ok or should I report this to save the next person who might not be as strong?
Baby boy was crying when she arrived and told me he sounds like he’s in pain, but had no suggestions on what to do and asked me if I still love him when he cries like that. She then asked me to list ‘3 reasons why i love my son’ and just sat staring at me until i answered - I was so on edge I couldn’t answer and she just raised her eyebrows at me and moved on. Asking me all extreme depression / mental health questions and going on and on and then watched over me why I filled in a depression chart.
Then told me I’m making bad habits by holding him when he sleeps, she’s the only midwife i’ve ever come across who has that option of a 7 week old baby? And then said if I continue to go to him when he cries he’ll learn that he can cry to get what he wants so told me to leave him to cry it out which goes against ALL advice online for this age?!
We are at our most vulnerable that we will probably ever be in our entire life postpartum. We will never forget the way people treat us. Postnatal depression is REAL. Imagine the next woman she says this too doesn’t cope with having those things said to her?

Anyone else just stare at their toddler and cry because they love them so much? This is strange to me because I absolutely hated the new born and baby bit. I struggled to bond for the first year and felt like I’d ruined my life. Then bit by bit things got better. Now I could eat her I love her so much. I’m glad I’ve reached this point but now I’ve gone the other way and it consumes me with the love, the worry and devotion I have towards her.
If you’ve experienced this, when do you feel more balanced as a mother? I worry I never will.
