I'm 9 days postpartum and feel so overwhelmed. I keep having feelings of not loving my baby and craving my life before him. I am breastfeeding and I feel like this is also really taking a toll on me, although things have improved over the last few days. I seem to have good parts in the day and then around the same time in the late afternoon, I start to feel really sad and teary. I just want to feel 'normal' again and love the newborn bubble.

I think it would be best to speak with your GP and they can refer you for additional support. I can only imagine! All the hormones crashing etc. look after yourself.

Youre so freshly postpartum your hormones will be wild, dont worry youll be fine and if youre not feeling better soonish reach out to midwife

Hiya- you can self refer to talking therapies if u feel like having thoughts of harm..and its ALL NORMAL for motherhood journey..It tough! But you're tougher girl-Hang on-there are always good and worst...-just acknowledge it! Its frustrating- exhausting...just know You're doing a great job mama š ā¤ļø

I was the same around the same time of day I couldn't stop crying and felt really anxious. It has evened out now and I feel good, for me it was definitely a combination of my hormone drop and usually feeling anxious this time of year with the seasonal change. Hopefully it evens out for you too but be kind to yourself.

This sounds like postpartum depression. Have you reached out for support?

Speak to your midwife at your next appt or health visitor whichever is 1st.
Yes hormones play a big part but its too easy to blame them when it could be the start of ppd or something. I hope it isnt that but get advice from those that know x
Has anyone else ever ended up breastfeeding sooner than they intended after having a couple of drinks?
I normally try to keep track of what Iāve had and use an app to estimate when the alcohol has cleared, but tonight my baby completely refused the bottle and was absolutely demanding the breast. My estimated level was 0.23ā° (0.023%) when I fed her and I was only a few minutes away from the app saying I was good to go.
Rationally I know thatās a really small amount, but I feel awful because Iām now thinking back to other occasions where Iāve had drinks and breastfed and wondering whether Iāve accidentally exposed her more than I realised.
Iām not a regular/heavy drinker, itās more dinners, holidays, occasions etc, but the mum guilt is getting to me. Has anyone else worried about this? How do you manage drinking and breastfeeding, especially if your baby refuses bottles? Please be kind ā¤ļø

Hi please can I get some advice? in the last few days my four month old has suddenly become very very fussy specifically Iām noticing sheās doing this New thing where she will clench her fists and stretch her arms up above her head she will arch her back and it almost looks like sheās straining or something because her face will go a bit red and sheāll sort of make a grunting/crying noise. It seems like sheās in some sort of discomfort but Iāve got no idea what it is. Iāve tried doing bicycle legs and tummy massage and nothingās changed with her formula. Shes feeding as normal. Sheās pooing as normal. If anything she probably had an extra one or two today, I havenāt noticed her passing much gas so I donāt know if thatās what it could be.
Iām just worried because I literally canāt put her down at the moment. Every time I lay her down she does it, she has been doing it on and off all day , I try put her in the bouncer which she normally loves and she immediately will throw her arms up, arch her back and effectively try to throw herself out of it. What could it be ?

10 month old sleep is terrible. Was doing okay till 7 months but since wakes after 20 mins at bedtime. Then needs constant patting to settle throughout the night. I'm averaging 3 / 4 hours of broken sleep, 0 time to myself and really am not enjoying motherhood

My little girl is going to be one in just over a week š and has about half a tub of formula left - how are people weaning onto cows milk (or whatever alternative youāre using?)
I donāt want to have to buy more formula now so am looking to slowly start the switching process but have no idea how?
