Has anyone else received an appointment for a health visitor to come to their home? With my first pregnancy nobody from the health visiting team came to my home until after my son had been born, but this time I’ve received an appointment for over a month before my due date.

I had my health visitor appointment before birth and honestly it has helped me.

I have one coming up in October! I’m not really sure what to expect from it?

Yes I had one recently, it was really just to introduce themselves, make sure I knew what to expect in terms of visits after baby is born, what they are there for and to give me some leaflets etc. Also gave us the opportunity to ask any questions!

I’ve had one at home and one at local doctors, it’s all the same info, they give your red book for baby and go over all the same information and check that everything is okay with you. It’s not a long appointment, I think it just varies between health visitor as to where the appointment is x

I’ve had one too already and I’m due in November, they just like to give you as much advice as possible and just get to know you and let you know who they are. It does help as they make sure you know of all the benefits that you can get, but don’t check everything around the house yet so I wouldn’t worry about that until they come after the baby is born again x

Yeah I’ve got mine next week not sure what to expect

I had my health visitor appointment via teams last week. With my first baby, they came to my home. X

I just had mine today, I'm due 10th November. Found it really useful, lasted around 1hr30.

I was supposed to be they cancelled due to sickness, they haven’t called me back. Not expecting they will get back in contact before he’s here now tbh!

I've had an appointment through for when I am 33 weeks 🤰. I thought the same as you!
When did your little ones move from the bassinet pram attachment into the next stage? We have a Joie Signature, the next stage is the ‘stroller’ seat but it can be reclined so the baby is still lying down.

Hello, my baby is 4 weeks old and EBF.
I woke up last night and realised baby was still asleep after 4 hours. Should I be waking him to feed/nappy change, or do I count my blessings and wait for him to wake me up when he’s ready?
He’s way past his birth weight now, so not concerned about that, but obviously he still has a tiny tummy and I was concerned he was likely sleeping in a soiled nappy.
I very much doubt this will be a regular occurrence but would like to know what to do for next time. Last night we chose to wake him up 🤔

Can anyone offer advice of how to move from formula to cows milk at 12 months please?
Do you have to wean them over to the cows milk? If so, when, as the guidance is only formula until 12 months and cows milk only in food until that point.
Or do you just give cows milk one day and never give formula again?
Finding it a bit of a mine field! What if she won’t drink the cows milk!
