Moving off formula at 12 months

Can anyone offer advice of how to move from formula to cows milk at 12 months please?
Do you have to wean them over to the cows milk? If so, when, as the guidance is only formula until 12 months and cows milk only in food until that point.
Or do you just give cows milk one day and never give formula again?
Finding it a bit of a mine field! What if she won’t drink the cows milk!

If she won't drink the cows milk as long as she's getting calcium elsewhere that's not an issue.

I didn't use formula but from what I've seen people say they mix it with the cows milk slowly including less formula.

We were doing I think 8oz of formula in one bottle and we started with 7oz formula and 1oz cows milk for a few days. Then after a few days made it 6oz formula and 2oz cows milk and just kept going till there was just cows milk. We did a gradual change over as I heard it can be hard on their stomachs in the beginning but I don’t know if that’s fully right. Just what worked for us🙂

You don't have to move over to cows milk if you/LO doesn't want to. You can wean off completely if LO has enough sources of dairy in their diet, or stick to formula. We've stuck to formula.

I just did a straight swap.
Cows milk had been given in food from 6 months. We started to replace 1 bottle of formula a day and then another until we moved over to milk entirely.
He's 12 months and only has milk in the morning and evening now

Also they need dairy, it doesn't need to be in milk format. Can be cheese, yoghurt, cream etc

Same as Leah, we replaced one bottle of formula with the cows milk and a few days later replaced the next bottle - I think he was on just 2 bottles at this age. We were lucky that our boy took to cows milk straight away as I have a few friends where their kids didn’t x

My little boy was having cows milk on his cereal and in scrambled eggs . We switched him to cows milk and he was fine . We didn’t mix them . I did keep his bed time bottle at formula for couple weeks to make sure he was getting nutrients but then we switched it to cows milk xxx

When did your little one move out of bassinet pram attachment?

When did your little ones move from the bassinet pram attachment into the next stage? We have a Joie Signature, the next stage is the ‘stroller’ seat but it can be reclined so the baby is still lying down.

Bath

Has anyone skipped giving their little one a bath because its gotten too late? Even if they got bit dirty after tea? My little one has a bath tonight usually but cos shes had tea late an her bedtime is soon it just seems right to leave it. I feel bad

Waking baby for feeds (EBF)

Hello, my baby is 4 weeks old and EBF.

I woke up last night and realised baby was still asleep after 4 hours. Should I be waking him to feed/nappy change, or do I count my blessings and wait for him to wake me up when he’s ready?

He’s way past his birth weight now, so not concerned about that, but obviously he still has a tiny tummy and I was concerned he was likely sleeping in a soiled nappy.

I very much doubt this will be a regular occurrence but would like to know what to do for next time. Last night we chose to wake him up 🤔
