I just left my 32 weeks scan and they said she is about 5 pounds which is on the bigger side and it made me nervous she said everything else is beautiful and going fine I passed my glucose test makes me nervous though she brought up

Genetics I’m tall and so his my husband anyone have this ???

Scans are very rough estimates of baby’s weight! I wouldn’t worry about it much as they can be really inaccurate when it comes to weight. If you’ve passed your glucose test and your doctor isn’t highly concerned, you and baby should be fine 😊

We had our scan last week at 31+2 and our boy was measuring 4lb5 on the 69th centile! The scans aren’t always accurate but i think we’re expecting a bigger baby anyway as we’re both quite tall! x

I’m 6ft and my partner is taller, both my previous two babies were only 7lb3 and 6, they were quite long but not at all on the large size. The scans aren’t very accurate so I wouldn’t worry about it :)

Why are so many people being induced?

I know some it’s for medical reasons but some of them seem unnecessary. I was literally reading an article the other day how these an increase in induction at moment but most of the time it’s unnecessary.

I had my fair share of that with my first, I was pushed for an induction at 39 weeks then I was there after it has started I got talking to the midwife that was taking care of me and she was confused as to why I was being induced because there was no valid reason apart from them being under staff!

Consider BRAIN when making any decision:

• B – Benefits: What are the positive outcomes or advantages of this choice?

• R – Risks: What are the potential negative effects, costs, or dangers?

• A – Alternatives: What other options are available?

• I – Intuition: What is your gut feeling or instinct telling you?

• N – Nothing: What happens if you choose to do nothing or wait?

Has anyone had cramping close together with diarrhoea?

I’m 31 weeks pregnant . Been having this since midnight last night and then it goes for a few hours then it’s now come back but close together again

Mucus plug & Bloody show

I’m 38+3 and had my second membrane sweep this morning. TMI, but I’ve started losing my mucus plug and have also had my bloody show. How long after this did people go into labour?

6 week check post partum

I’m now 8 weeks 3 days post partum and my baby had her 6-8 week check today but I haven’t had any follow up check like I’ve heard other people have at 6 weeks… am I supposed to make the appointment myself? I last saw my midwife at around 5 days post partum and the health visitor last came out at around 6 weeks.

I thought that I’d have my check at the same time as my baby at the doctors but they only checked her so I’m not sure what to do.

Missed miscarriage

I went for my scan yesterday & what should’ve been a 12 week old baby, I unfortunately only had an empty sac of 8 weeks with no baby. Unfortunately i had a missed miscarriage whilst my body still thinks I’m pregnant.

I will be leaving this group but I hope everyone has a safe delivery for their April babies.
