Low PAPP-A

Has anybody had a letter from the hospital saying they have low PAPP-A and if so how did this affect your pregnancy? They’ve said I’ll have to take aspirin until 37 weeks of pregnancy which is fine but it’s made me quite anxious as the letter they’ve sent have said it can increase risk of mid term miscarriage? This is my third pregnancy but my second pregnancy was a miscarriage so getting this letter has made me quite nervous

I had low Papp-a too, but I had a good pregnancy! My baby came 13 days early weighing 5 pound 10 oz, so he was a small baby, however perfectly healthy and he’s now 12 pounds 11oz at 3 months old! He’s a very hungry baby as the health visitor has said he’s playing catch up with his weight, but they’re happy with him! Other than a lower birth weight, he’s had no problems at all!

No course not! I was the same with taking aspirin everyday, and yeah I had extra scans, I started having extra scans more in my third trimester, I was going roughly every 2 weeks I think! Seems like ages ago now 😄 but it was nice to have the reassurance, they just measured him inside and made sure he was growing well! I actually had a pretty good experience with my pregnancy overall, but I was the same at first, really nervous when I received the letter and not many people had heard of low Papp-a! But honestly we were perfectly fine so hopefully that gives you some reassurance 😊

I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant with low pap a and I just take my aspirin and have extra growth scans but had a smooth pregnancy 😊

Thank you both that’s really eased my mind! When you get these letters it always makes it sound so scary x

I've had it in both pregnancies. First was low, second was extremely low. I couldn't take aspirin either time. Both of them arrived slightly early and a bit small (first was earlier and smaller than the second) but other than that no issues.

I have low PAPP A and have monthly scans and checks. Very reassuring to have the scans. Also taking aspirin although due to stop next week. Currently just over 34 weeks and all has gone well so far and all nicely in the middle of the growth chart.

I had Low PAPP-A in my first pregnancy, my baby was very low centile and ended up being SGA (small for gestational age) so was having growth scans every 2 weeks. I had him early at 38+2 but even though he was a tiny 4lb 2oz he was perfectly healthy :)

Gosh sounding like the majority of the time it results in small babies! My daughter was quite small even without low PAP-A so will definitely be reassuring to have the extra growth scans 😬 thank you all for your responses! Has made me feel a bit better knowing it’s not as scary as they make it sound but good to know what to expect xx

First time having late period but negative PT 🥺🥹

This is my first time being delayed for like 4 days. My LMP was sept 1 and i was supposed to have my period on 26-27. I think this is an evap line because after 5 mins there was only 1 line then after an hour, it had a very faint line.

Let me know your thought guys 🥹

Positive or evap line?

What does this look like to everyone else? Bottom on is yesterday afternoon and the top on is this morning…

Period is 3 days late and no signs of it coming yet
