Labelling everything. Maybe go to a secondhand store and buying clothes that you don't "care" about as extra clothes to leave in case of accidents.
Leaving your child with a trusted adult while you run errands (if not already doing)
Practicing drinking from cups. Asking for water (staff are usually good about keeping them hydrated, but doesn't hurt to practice)

Lots of cheap clothes be prepared for them to come home covered it all sorts! 🤣 also pack plenty of spares in a backpack for little one. Lots of nurseries do lots of messy play and water play and their clothes need to be changed sometimes multiple times a day. Definitely label every single item! If they are little and co-sleep on the day try to get them to go in a bed or cot independently as this will help with naps at nursery.

We started leaving our LO with the Grandparents one day a week and worked up to a full day. They had their settling in session last week and instantly went in without getting upset. This has helped us as they are use to not being around me for a whole day and having to nap and have meals with someone different

Definitely cheap secondhand clothes that you don't care if gets dirty/stained/goes missing. My little girls nursery lost one of her tops on her second week there. And she comes home filthy which I love as it means she's enjoyed her day and got stuck in with meals and messy play.
I got one of those clothes stamps from kiddospace which is really good.
I would also talk about nursery and show pictures of the staff if they have them on their website. X

Spare clothes and labelling is good advice but I wouldn't worry about getting them used to a cot or other people, my daughter never cot napped at home and has always slept in a cot fine at nursery. We didn't have anyone else who could look after her, so our very first baby free time together was when she was in nursery and again the adjustment was fine. We are lucky she has always been so happy there, but even if they have a hard time settling they will get used to it.

I have such intense regret about leaving having my child so late, I’m 40 and he’s now 6 months old. I wish I’d had him 10 + years ago, I feel like such a fool that I’ve missed out on so much time with him. I was too busy at a job that ultimately doesn’t matter and studying for a qualification I probably won’t ever use.
Not sure of the point of this post, I wondered if anybody else has the same feelings.
when I bring it up to my partner he just says nothing you can do about it which I know is right. I need to just get over it and enjoy my time.

Hiya ladies, I’m stuck at the moment I don’t know what to do. This morning i took a tumble down the stairs in my flat, gone to a&e and am now on crutches in a lot of pain. Thankfully i didn’t have my little one but still quite a scare as that could have happened.
I now don’t know what to do. My mothers offered for me to stay at hers for a couple of days until I can manage the pain and to help me do little things such as make and sterilise bottles etc. My partner doesn’t want to stay at my mums, but he’s at work and I will be struggling to do everything on my own. What do I do?

Ive spoke before but I actually don’t know what to do ….
It’s a completely battle in the morning, screaming, kicking, fighting( not me just more to get things on) … I showed a video to family members and they think it’s not right the way he’s acting in the sense of he’s showing complete panic and fear!
His sleep has been effected, sometimes throughout the day he has a little cry worried I’m taking him nursery (even tho he’s already been) he is stress grinding his teeth a lot, I’ve asked while he does it what’s he thinking about he’ll have a little cry and say don’t leave me, not nursery!
It’s really stressing him - and hard to figure out whether this is doing more harm than good at this point 😔😭
