Baby girl showed me she was able to breastfeed but now refuses to latch after 1 dreamy session :(

Baby wouldn't latch when she was born so ended up expressing and combi feeding with some formula - now 3wks later I randomly tried because I noticed my supply dropping some and voila she latched and fed on each boob for 10mins each.. tried again through night and she wouldn't have any of it.. stresses and cries.. got her to do it again during the day once but every time after she just refuses - i get stressed, she gets stressed.. do I just throw in the towl as she must just prefer the bottle :(

It took my baby girl to the 4 week mark before she started latching, I was feeling the same but was encouraged to keep trying a small feed is still a win! Keep trying! I got told by the midwife to hand express a few drops and rub it around my nipple so baby could smell it so she knew where to go, sounds silly but it worked and also not to use any soap on the breasts as it takes away the scent. Hope this helps x

A midwife yesterday advised us to use a pump to get milk flowing and then try to latch baby, she said if they’re used to the bottle they get instant gratification but the delay on the breast can make them frustrated x

We had the same issue with our baby boy due to a tongue tie - we had it released but due to soreness on my end we only started breastfeeding properly at 5 weeks. It took us a good week or so to get him latched in the night as his tongue was tired from the day. Offer the breast first at every feed and if she gets tired / frustrated, offer the bottle after that. Once they’ve worked the muscle enough it’ll get stronger and youll soon get there. I have now been ebf for 6 weeks and it is so worth it if you can. Best of luck & no problem if she does struggle, it’s deffo not as easy and sunshine & rainbows as some make out!

Baby seats for trolleys, high chairs etc.

Has anyone got one of these from a brand they recommend? Not sure if Coco seat is a UK brand or what it's like as a company?

Thanks in advance!

Nappy leaks at night—what brands or tips work?

My 12 week old uses Aldi Mamia size 3 nappies during the day with no problems, but at night both Mamia and Pampers Premium Protection size 3 have leaked after a few hours. Has anyone got tips for nighttime leaks or recommendations for other brands or strategies?

Sleep regression or upping daytime intake?

My baby is 15 weeks on Saturday. He used to sleep 9ish-6am with only 1 wake for a feed. He’s now ready for bed at 7/7:30 and sleeping until 7am but waking for 3 feeds! He had dropped to 6 5oz bottle but has now added in an extra one at 11pm. I’ve tried him with some 6oz bottles in the day but he struggled with them. What’s going on? Do I need to ride it out or try and up his daytime intake?

Toddler not listening

Ok my 2 yr old does not listen to me. I know everyone says that but what do you do when it starts lol. We were walking on the side walk and he just took off (he’s never done that before) I was running yelling after me and he was laughing. I got so scared because we live on a boulevard so it’s busy. But just lately he’s been saying no no no to me and runs away. Idk what to do especially in situations like this that are dangerous.
