Daycare ain’t fair! lol

This whole daycare thing is a doozy! Not only is it super expensive, I am struggling with the thought of trusting daycare centers with my Bebe! I toured one where they were kissing the babies on the face! I understand babies need love and cuddles but there are so many other ways to do so! He is 4.5mo rn and will be starting in January unless a miracle happens!

How did you all cope with putting baby in daycare?
What kind of questions did y’all ask the daycare?

Just would love to hear y’all stories!

P.S I read some of these reviews and with the $$$ being spent I am appalled!

Also, woman have it hard! Working FT, having to pump, be a money maker and a momma! It’s like the message is -be a mom and a great one at that but also work FT+ but when you are applying for a job don’t mention it bc even tho we are not suppose to discriminate we will! Like WTF y’all want from us! Lmao

Everyone making you feel like it’s such an inconvenience to have a child and work!

go with your gut, if you walk in and it makes you feel like ick that's a sign.

we changed care 7 times, 2 times because other children bit mine... The price should include effective communication, nourishment and reinforcement for both parent and baby but that's not always a guarantee.

I've noticed some of the care workers have their own families as the students so I've seen some kissing which sometimes there's favoritism too so i didn't like it

It's not for the faint of heart but the joy on that babies face is worth every second of each labor, we just gotta keep swimming 🐠

Husbands buddies at our home

My husband has a buddy flying in tomorrow morning & another buddy flying in Sat morning until Sunday. Their plan is to hang out here at our home until their football game Sunday.. All was fine until we realized my husband forgot to adjust his work schedule for tomorrow AND Saturday. So a likely chance he will get called in and it could be anywhere from a few hours to all day.

His buddies are cool. But I have zero interest in hanging out, let alone having them in our home if my husband is gone. Not for any particular reason other than Mom burnout? Idk. Because they are his friends? I don't want to get stuck having to entertain? I'm already annoyed. My husband doesn't seem bothered nor like he is going to find a solution for if he has to work.

Suggestions? I'm 6mo pregnant and have two younger kids. I love my privacy and space so already feeling like I'm not going to be able to fake their company if my husband has to go into work 🙄😂

I feel so bad.

Today has been the worst, it started out pretty good I took my little boy to get milkshakes and we went to the park but somehow this afternoon he got a burn on his hand and I wasnt sure what to do so I took him to the hospital, then we went to eat and I told him so many times to stop climbing up the booth seat and he eventually fell and slammed his head into the table. Im very pregnant and in a massive amount of pain so I just got frustrated and overwhelmed while my husband grabbed our son. After he sat our kid back down and we started cleaning things up to leave, he went right back to climbing and I told him to sit down with "the mom voice" and 2 girls called me abusive. I swear im not but he doesn't listen and its more frustrating that he goes right back to doing the thing he just got hurt from 2 seconds before. Its so hard to sit and watch your kid do something over and over knowing they will get hurt. Especially when no consequence works. Sometimes I feel like i need a toddler straight jacket so he will sit down and stop doing things that will hurt him because i cant catch or save him every time. Im already on top of him 24/7 it feels like.

My son is a delightful little person but Heck we are having rough days lately

He turns 3 in 3 months and as of recently I am fighting for my life to get him to sleep at night, fighting for my life getting him to listen to me (not over petty things--safety issues!)and fighting for my life to get the boy to eat. By 7 pm bath time I am at the end of my rope and he is not done with me. H e l p

Visitors after birth

I feel like everyone’s telling me I’m overreacting and I have 0 support from my boyfriend.

I’m 19 days PP, my mom and dad came to see us last Friday then my bfs parents came on Sunday. My mom and dad left Sunday night and his parents were meant to stay a week. I did mention it might be a lot for me as it’d be a bit awkward whilst he’d at work. I kept my mouth shut the last few days, had things done for me I didn’t ask for (I’m not ungrateful, I just like things done my way and if I need help I ask) anyways, I got upset and last night I reached my limit and had an argument with my bf, it would’ve been fine and forgotten if his mom didn’t come downstairs to say she’s take the baby away or something. Yes there were raised voices, but nothing bad, no harm was happening to baby and we were doing housework whilst at it. Now I feel like I failed as a mom and partner. His parents left this afternoon after this whole shit show. Why can’t no one understand I need the time to be alone, I need time to heal and get better, I’m capable of doing housework and take care of a baby fine, even tho 2 weeks ago I thought I could never do that.
Now me and my partner had the biggest argument ever and for the first time I’m sleeping in the other room with the baby as I can’t stand the thought to be around him after he told me I have PP depression. I don’t, I just had bad days due to being overwhelmed with his family being around. I didn’t feel comfortable in my own home, and I was just fed up, other than that I feel absolutely fine and over the moon with my little man.

Meals

How many meals is your 10 month old having? I’m really struggling with getting my daughter to eat anymore than 1 meal & a few snacks. She’s still having 3 7oz bottles and 1 10oz (bedtime)
