Baby girl in scan

Hi today i have 22w scan and they told me its little girl. My imagination was all about boy… now my heart is not accepting i believe if god chose baby girl for me its best then ……but i do not know my heart feels like hurt and discomfort.. please guide me what should i do … should i inform my family now or not .. please guide me may be someone words console my soul😢

Edited: Thank you so much, everyone. Your kind words really helped me look at my baby girl in a completely new and beautiful way. 🤍
When I found out she was a girl, I suddenly felt so many emotions that I wasn’t expecting. I had imagined having a boy for so long that, for a little while, my heart struggled to accept the news. I think I had built so many dreams around a baby boy that I needed some time to adjust.

But something else happened in my heart too. I suddenly started thinking about myself as a little girl again. I remembered how vulnerable and helpless I sometimes felt growing up, and one thought came into my mind: Am I strong enough to protect my little girl from this cruel world?

I don’t even know if I can properly explain the feeling. It wasn’t that I didn’t want my daughter. It was almost the opposite—I suddenly loved her so much that I became scared for her.

Maybe God chose a daughter for me because He knows something I don’t. Maybe He is giving me the chance to become the mother, protector and safe place that every little girl deserves.

I’m still learning to accept this new dream, but I want to welcome my baby girl with an open heart. Maybe one day I’ll look back at this moment and wonder how I ever imagined my life without her. 🤍

Gender disappointment is common, you are allowed to be disappointed but unfortunately you cannot choose the sex. Talk to your partner. As long as it's healthy it doesn't matter and when she is born you will be happy, nothing else will matter. It's up to you when you tell family, maybe when you accept the idea it's a girl unless you feel there is someone you can talk to who may understand. I have a little girl and couldn't imagine her not being here, best thing to happen to me

Try not to think like that. I always wanted a boy too, but yesterday at my 20-week scan I found out I’m having a little girl. 🎀
Sometimes we imagine our family one way, but we can’t choose — we just learn to welcome our baby with all the love we have. I truly believe your little girl came into your life for a reason. When she’s born, you’ll probably wonder how you ever lived without her. 🤍
And who knows? Maybe one day a little boy will be part of your story too.

It might be hard to imagine now, but having a baby will be so unlike anything you've ever imagined. Your beautiful girl will arrive and you'll find that she perfectly fills the gap in your heart, that she was made for you and your family.

On another note, gender norms are so much more flexible these days. A lot of the things you've been imagining with a boy, chances are your girl will love them too. Rest, heal your heart, and look forward to your joy! 💕

C section scar related??

I had an emergency c section in 2024 and this year I’ve noticed something new that keeps happening and I don’t know if it’s linked to having a c section. I’ve noticed when I’m getting out the shower/bath and I’m bending forward to dry my legs and feet I get this random tight knot feeling in my stomach ( few inches above scar). It scares me but soon as I stand back straight it goes. Has anyone else experienced this?

My October baby is here.

He was born at 2:33pm today but decided to breathe in his amniotic fluid instead of air. Not improving as fast as they like so we went on the cpap and are going to be getting transferred to the nicu at a different hospital. Hopefully he improves soon so we can all go home together.

Insomnia

35+4 and the insomnia is ridiculous. I’m so tired but my body just won’t go to sleep!

Anyone else? And any ideas?

When did you feel your babies consistent kicks?

I am about to be 21 weeks and I only feel him sometimes but I wanted to know if that’s normal.

Bump size

Does anyone else feel like they’re carrying quite small? I’ve had my 20 week scan and my baby is totally fine and in the normal centile range, but people keep telling me I barely look pregnant!

I’m 5ft 9 so maybe height is playing a role but with my first I felt like I actually looked bigger! 21 weeks today
