Had my 20 week Scan today. They couldn’t get a proper view of baby’s heart so asked us to return next week, everything else looked fine. And I also have a low lying placenta. Anyone else have this?

Low lying placenta isn’t usually something to worry about. They most of the time move as your uterus grows. You’ll be rescanned at 32 weeks I believe to check placental position.

I had this 2 weeks ago, I have twins and they couldn’t finish the scan for either as one baby wouldn’t stop moving so couldn’t get her heart, and the other one was covering his head with his arms so couldn’t see the brain. I also had a low laying placenta on my 20 week scan. I had a rescan today (I’m 22 weeks) and my placenta wasn’t low laying anymore and everything was fine with both babies!
I know a lot of people have to go back after their 20 week scan because they can’t get everything but I know it’s stressful as you just want all the answers and reassurance then but I hope it’ll all be fine for you too next week x

Rescans are very common, babies don’t like to be exactly where they need to be for every single body part, there’s always something they can’t quite get

I had to go for a walk around the hospital and go back again so they could get everything they need.
I had a low placenta with my first, but think it has moved upwards late as it wasn't mentioned again

I had low lying with my 1st was covering birth canal had to go for regular scans from 28 weeks, it had moved by 36 weeks went on to have a natural delivery

Ive got a re scan on friday (22 weeks) because they couldn't get everything they needed from heart and lips. Also had a rescan with my first and everything was fine x

I had similar recently luckily by the end of the appointment they managed to see everything they needed but it took really long but they said it happens from time to time and when they where thinking of rescheduling they said not to worry its just the position of the baby at that time and some babys can be stubborn 😅
Same with the placenta but the midwife was super reassuring and said it happens very commonly at this stage but as things begin to grow it typically moves up. We've been booked in for an extra scan at 32 ish weeks for them to check. We are looking at it as an extra opportunity to see the baby
Hope this gives you some reassurance
Just had my 28 week appointment and baby is estimated 3lb 3 😅

Is anyone still feeling shattered? I’m 18 weeks now and although I have a bit more energy I’m just so tired.
Iron levels are fine. I’ve been doing some swimming to try and move my body a bit more but I still feel like I need a daily nap. Anyone else feeling the same?

I had my 20 week scan last Friday, everything was fine but she said that little girl had a big stomach and could potentially mean GD, the chart told her she was just under the worrying measurement to like get a early test for it but I’m still pure panicking about it that I’ve done something wrong to cause this. I have another scan on Thursday due to her being cheeky and not allowing them to get spine measurements so thinking I should ask for a second look? Anyone else been told this before and it been okay? Maybe she’s just a chunk lol x

I'm a first time mum and got my 6 week check next week, its just for me as my baby is having hers at 8 weeks when she has her jabs. What should I expect? What will they ask and what do they check?
