18 weeks pregnant

Hey, has anyone got a home Doppler? If so did you struggle finding baby’s heart beat? All I can hear is the swooshing sound that’s it.

Also haven’t felt baby move yet.. is this normal?

I have one and can't always find her heartbeat. She is often still quite low. And moves around a lot so often moves away from the doppler.

And no movement yet is totally normal too. I don't think they even ask about it til 25/ 28 week appointments x

Swooshing is cord or placenta. Hold it low. Everyone think to check high up but you need to press pretty hard sometimes angled at lower stomach right above pubic bone! Trust me move all around down there you'll find it . I had one for my last 4 babies! Always found the heart ❤️

It’s normally much lower than you’d expect. Or at least much lower than I expected. But never use the Doppler to reassure yourself - leave that to the pros (not me and by the sounds of it not you either :p) so if you’re worried talk to your midwife.
First baby I only felt movement at 24 weeks so that part I do know is normal :) also I was told if the placenta is behind then easier to feel, if it’s in front then harder to feel / takes longer

I am 17 weeks and till about few days ago It wa very hit and miss for me. I could almost never find it . Now I can . I was always looking too low but actually I find it nowadays always on the right or left from the belly button . Try that

Induction woes

Was supposed to get induced tonight at 39+2 days but the hospital is apparently busy with deliveries so now I’m on standby until they have room 😭😭 but they don’t know when that will be. anyone else have this happen to them?
I’m so nervous anyways about labor and this is really putting me over the edge.
