Health visitors

Has anyone else told the health visiting team that you dont require them to come and they have still booked appointments anyway. Like its my third child I dont need you to come patronise me! Sorry hormonal rant 😂

I have had the same thing. I don't want nor do I need them to tell me how to be a parent I've managed this far with a 5 year old 😂

FTM here and I had an appointment booked. I called them to ask what it was actually about (as I wasn’t super comfortable about somebody coming to my home to check it out, it just feels a bit big brother!) so declined the pre visit. They were fine with that. They just sent me a red book in the post!

My health visitor came at 38 weeks.
Not once did she tell me how to be a FTM. She came to offer me classes, introduce herself, give me numbers/important information and just to meet us.
She didnt move from the sofa and just let me do all the talking.
Don't know why people are worried about the HV?

Stroller recommendations

Hi everyone

Can I please ask for stroller reviews from anyone who loves their strollers especially if you push it on cobblestones or rough terrain.

I have a mama’s and papas Flip TX3 which I absolutely hate! Everytime I use it I get back pain from steering it. It’s also super bumpy and makes me worry about baby but she seems not to mind. Baby is 4 months and we have only used it 5 times. If you have a Flip TX3 , does it get better when baby is older and can sit up?

I chose it because of the lie flat option as I didn’t get a bassinet and also because its foldable and we live on the first floor.

I really need something which is those two things but with great suspension.

Thank you

Struggling

My baby just turned 3 weeks and although I was doing so well at the start, I feel like I’m being worn down now. I’m exclusively breastfeeding and my life being constant 2 hour increments of feeding, burping, changing and trying to soothe a fussy baby, then grabbing whatever scraps of sleep I can when he goes down is so exhausting. One of my boobs has now started hurting (not the nipple, the boob itself) and I’m so stressed at night trying to get through without my partner waking as he has work the next day. I’m not sure what I’m asking for, I suppose I’m just venting to feel less alone. I’m so grateful to have my baby, but this is so hard and I’m scared.

Cmpa 2m

Making the hard medically necessary decision to end my exclusively breastfeeding journey at 2 months due to cmpa along with oat and soy triggers. By daughters gut continues to worsen and she’s growing more uncomfortable and the trial and error trying to find the cause is taking a toll on both of us. Posting this mainly for comfort :( I feel like a horrible mother.
