Does anyone have any advice on what to put on my registry? Especially considering the rising costs of things recently I don’t want to buy anything that isn’t necessary or that I’m gonna use for a month and then get rid of. So if anyone knows anything I definitely should have on my list or anything that I should definitely avoid it would be incredibly helpful!!

Have: baby pillow, diapers and wipes, hygiene stuff, bottles, bottle warmer, noise machine, bassinet, stroller, car seat, post partum stuff.
Not necessary: bottle sterilizer ( up to you because you can boil them or put them in the dishwasher), books that aren’t high contrast, clothes (no one really got the clothes on mine but that’s totally up to you!), one brand of pacifiers or diapers and wipes (currently on brand #3 for new born diapers) brand 2 for pacifiers, and I personally don’t like the scented Huggies or Huggies in general. I have a wipe warmer and they get so soft they start to tear if you try to pull them out.

I swear these four things saved me
1) Momcozy bottle WASHER and steriliser
2) play pen and foam carpet for playpen
3) a rotating car seat ( I got the even flow shift travel system and loved it)
But these things are all stuff I used everyday also
High chair for eating
Bombi chair
Diaper genie and extra bags
Desitin diaper cream
Aveno baby shampoo
Swaddles
Burp clothes and bibs ( needed a lot of these bc my baby had very bad reflux)
Mommy’s bliss variety pack in Amazon
Baby tylenol
Frida electric nail file
Frida Temperature thermometer
Baby nasal aspirator
Baby mittens and socks
Tubby Tod all over cream
Teething toys
Foam climbing blocks
And I wish I put the graco convertible car seat my baby grew out
Of infant car seat pretty fast
I will edit if I remember other stuff
NANIT camera

Nappies, blankets, socks, baby cream/powder, baby-safe detergent, wetwipes and body wash, I found stuff that we go through quickly have been the most useful!! Plenty of babytowels to burp.
A self rocking chair was such a miracle for our boy when he was fussy/wouldnt let us put him down.
Also, you might not be planning on formula feeding, but having a stock just in case you get tired with breastfeeding or it doesnt go your way can be so helpful. And if you dont end up using it, you can sell or donate it, so long as its unopened x

Totally second what all these mamas say and also look on Facebook market for strollers/car seat and other baby gear, a lot of times too people are giving away diapers, wipes, baby clothes, etc.
I woke up maybe a couple minutes after my seven month old woke up. He wasn’t crying so I let him be maybe five minutes later he starts crying so I go to get him out of his crib. As soon as I pick him up, I realized that he is covered almost head to toe in baby poo. Part of it he did himself. The other part of it because it was a blowout. It was all over his face, back, stomach, feet. I never thought I’d have to deal with them playing in their own poo until they were toddlers. 😭

Hey all, looking for some help or advice with sleep transitioning I bought my little boy a double floor bed and we can’t seem to get him in the bed on his own - one of us have to lie with him until he falls asleep and then crawl out but if he wakes up in the night he cries and ones of us has to get back in the bed with him and then around 5am he wakes up and turns his light on and just sits on his bed then I’m finding myself having to get into bed with him to get him to go back to sleep as he is tired. But running on a lack of sleep and time with my partner is starting to take its toll so hoping for some help advice and tips that people have done or is the solution to just co sleep with him👀

I have a load of leftover products either unopened or only used once, it seems a shame to throw them away any ideas what I can do with them? I don’t have any friends expecting or likely to get pregnant soon and I guess most places wouldn’t take them as donations? Based in London.

Newborn grunting and straining is most often caused by infant dyschezia (or "grunting baby syndrome"), a normal developmental phase where the baby hasn't yet learned how to relax their pelvic floor and anal sphincter while pushing out stool or gas.
