A little bit of a confession honestly š«£ my little girl is 9 weeks and watches the tv sometimes, only really early in the morning when sheās wide awake but Iām still exhausted or before we do our bedtime bath if sheās being cranky while I do the nightly reset and get all her stuff ready, usually itās just whatever show Iām watching at the time or sometimes Bluey
How much will it actually affect her? Sheās not close to the tv and we wonāt be doing screens like tablets or phones for a long long while, honestly half the time I donāt even think sheās actually watching it but it makes me feel kinda guilty

It can affect her socially. She may not interact appropriately (smile etc to human interaction) or delays with this.
Otherwise if sheās not close etc she should be fine. Lights and sound stimulates senses so thatās good, but ideally youād do this with singing and ceiling lights instead x

i canāt speak on behalf of my own baby as sheās only 7 weeks but my best friends daughter who is 16 months now, she watched programmes like ms rachel from when she was little. she came on in leaps and bounds and was hitting social milestones ahead of time as she was learning through ms rachel! she now watches bluey etc and can be a bit of a cheeky girl, maybe from the characters or could just be age. but i think some educational programmes can be really good for a little ones development and gives you some free time! i wouldnāt worry too much, i think the main issue with screen time is other peopleās judgement. do what works best for you x

My boy is 7 weeks and we swore no TV time at all, we had done it with my 11 year old and he now uses the iPad, the phone and TV at the same time. So I put baby in the carrier and get on with my duties, sometimes wrap him on my back, or place him on the playmat, tie a string to his toe and the hanging toys so when he moves they move and that seems to keep him entertained for a little.

I do it too, sometimes it helps when things get stressful or baby wonāt settle, itās understandable - my mum did it with me and Iām extremely sociable and always have been x

Thinking of getting a couple of cheap nursing tops - I'm a FTM due in a couple of months.
Honestly I usually just wear leggings and jumpers so I'm wondering if I can just get away with wearing my usual and lifting my top of out of the way? But would nursing tops / jumpers be more practical?
Tempted to buy a couple but also things are getting so pricey now so I don't want to buy things unnecessarily?

Hi, I am worried that my son has autism. I am a FTM and my baby boy is 2 years old. He can say a few words , but I wouldnāt say 50. He is always stimming āEeEeā , He sometimes responds to his name, he sometimes keep eye contact. He flaps his arms, he had trouble staying sleep & I am exhausted itās been going on for monthsš© I love my baby , but lately itās been a lot to handle with the tantrums , he often stiffens his body when heās upsets and kicks . Is this normal behavior for a 2 year old , or could these be signs of autism?
