Having another baby

How do you know when it’s the right time for another one. Rn I’m a sahm to a 2 year old. Rn we are looking to move to my in laws house because they’re getting older and they need help financially. I started looking for a remote job to help more too. I’m not sending my son to a day care until he’s 4 or understands more.(daycares are Brutal rn). So anyways we are having baby fever but I just will feel guilty for not giving my son everything because our focus will be in everyone else. Or should I wait 2 more years until he’s in school??

You’re underestimating how much of a gift having a younger sibling is 🫶🏼 It’s incredible seeing how much those little humans love each other

We felt that the timing was right, because things weren't completely insane as far as the things we can't control in our life, and it's been really good for our boys to have each other.

For our family, we felt a 3 year gap was ideal. That way they're close in age. As soon as we decided we would wait a year is when i fell pregnant (currently 27 wks). Our son is already obsessed with this little girl and ready to meet her. I feel like him being 3 now (just recently) hes able to understand most of what's going on and want to help more now. Shes not even here yet and hes already ready to give her toys/stuffies and play. Of course it'll be awhile yet until she can but his excitement definitely made this transition easier. The timing is never right for anything but if you have the will, theres always a way to make it work. May not go as planned but honestly, what does anymore.
I say if you want it badly, go for it. If you feel too stressed this year, wait 6m and ask yourselves again.

We waited until our son turned 3 & had baby 3m before he turned 4. We loveee the age gap!

I have zero jealousy fits, he wants to be involved and calls the baby his, and he's still young enough to when baby is one the can still play together. 🥰

Never left toddler with anyone

Hi all, we have an 18 month old toddler who we've never left with anyone. We have no family nearby and have never used a babysitter, nanny, etc. So in 1.5yr my husband and I have never done anything just the 2 of us. On the one hand that sounds crazy and on the other it has felt pretty normal to just take her everywhere. I feel so anxious at the thought of leaving her with a sitter who I don't know, or even with someone if I had a recommendation. Is anyone else in the same situation?

Rant but also need some advice

I honestly don’t know what to do anymore I feel like I’m loosing my baby due to stress. Me and my partner have been extremely rocky since we first got together and now it feels even worse than ever we went on holiday for the weekend and all he did was put me down and make me cry he always tells me it’s my fault In any argument ( for abit of context we broke up back in may due to how he treated me during this time I met someone else and it wasn’t serious at all and made me realise how much j genuinely loved him and only wanted him and me being me went back to him in July then start of September found out that I’m pregnant with his baby. ) he now uses this break to have ago at me and put me down constantly I’m
Now breaking down almost every day and crying to the point where I don’t know if I can carry on. I don’t want to leave but at this point I don’t know what to do we are ment to be moving into our first home together next week but I’m so scared it’s going to get worse. The last thing i want is my baby to be brought up with there parents not together but then at the same time im so scared that hes not going to change how he is towards me and i dont want that around my baby.

36 weeks and freaking out.

My husband left me for another woman 10 years younger than me two months ago. We have three little ones together, ages 9, 6, and 2, and I’m currently pregnant with our fourth child.

When he first left, he wanted us to continue living in the marital home and coparent. His idea was to turn the nursery into his room, even though he said he would barely be home. I couldn’t imagine living under the same roof with someone who had chosen to leave our marriage, watching him get ready to go out was killing me, so I decided to get my own place and start over.

For a while, I thought I was doing okay. I was managing the kids, the house, and the reality of everything that had happened. But about three days ago, I started experiencing sharp pains and back pain, and suddenly, it all hit me. I’m about to have a newborn and three other little children to care for, and I’m going to be doing it all on my own.

Since then, my husband has practically disappeared. He barely calls the kids and has only seen them twice. They ask me all the time where their dad is, and I find myself making excuses to protect their little hearts. I tell them he’s working or try to give them an answer that won’t hurt them, even though I’m struggling to understand his absence myself.

I’m overstimulated, exhausted, and already sleep-deprived because my two-year-old is going through a sleep regression. I’m trying to hold everything together, but honestly, I’m terrified of what life will look like when the baby gets here. The thought of waking up every three hours to feed a newborn while taking care of three other children, without a consistent partner to lean on, feels overwhelming.

I think what hurts the most is that after almost a decade together, I never imagined he could just disappear like this. I never thought I would be preparing to welcome our baby into the world while simultaneously trying to explain to our children why their father is barely around.

I didn’t just lose my husband. I lost the future I thought we were building together, the family dynamic I believed our children would grow up with, and the person I thought I could count on when life got hard.

I’m trying to be strong for my babies because they still need me, regardless of how broken or overwhelmed I feel inside. But the truth is, I’m scared. I’m tired. And some days, I don’t know how I’m going to do it all.

After almost ten years with someone, you never imagine having to face something like this. I guess you really never know someone as well as you think you do. 💔

Feeling broken

Just learned today that my husband feels that I don’t value our son enough because I like shopping in thrift stores and consignment shops more than I like buying brand new. 💔😭
