Hi, it's just been confirmed that I have placenta praevia (the placenta is covering the opening of the cervix) which, if it doesn't resolve on its own, means an elective c-section. Does anyone know how early they might perform a c-section for this? Trying to plan my mat leave!

They should be rechecking everything has moved out of the way at an ultrasound around 32 weeks. Most cases it resolves on its own x

I had this and it resolved on its own. It’s really common, I heard.

The elective would be no earlier than 38/39 weeks unless you had issues with bleeding or other reasons to bring it earlier.
Has anyone here had a home birth before, or a midwife-led birth at the hospital? My midwife said I can consider either option since this is my second pregnancy. I’d love to hear from anyone who has experienced either. What was it like, and what should I be preparing for? ❤️

Not sure if anyone can relate to this/have any ideas would could be causing this but I’ve woken up in the night in pain as I’ve rolled onto my left side to lie, I’ve got severe pain in the right hand side of my bump? Does it just sound like stretching of the muscles??
