I posted about this earlier, but now I have another thought. If I were to do my babies first birthday party, it’s gonna be in December and it is cold and could snow, we have already gotten permission to do it at our church so there wasn’t be any activities for the other people kids. As a parent are we worried about that or no? We have an extremely small budget to use for decor and food, what did yall do for food?

It is so hard to pick any because of how expensive everything is. I would suggest to do it pot luck style, if your family and friends wouldn’t mind doing that for you. As a mom I know how special you what their birthdays to be.❤️

Since it will be cold do chili and soup. Do cheap comfort food

You could set up a craft station with things like crayons, printout pictures, etc. Browse around online for low-budget, age-appropriate crafts.
If you have a balloon, you can do keepy-uppy.
There's games like duck-duck goose, Simon Says, etc.

i’m doing a baseball theme so i was gonna buy pizza and do hot dogs. My baby is a december baby and it’s so annoying we’re trying to narrow down a venue but the smallest places want at least 550 for only 5 hrs meaning the party can only be 3 hrs. We want to do a soft play area but then we have to do a bigger venue.

You go dollar tree and get those foam ball and make Christmas ornaments as activities it very cheap
I had a low lying placenta at my 20 week scan and I’ve just had another scan at 29 weeks and it still hasn’t moved up. Has anyone had it move later on in pregnancy?

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and honestly am this close 🤏🏼 to stopping eating and drinking all together. The nausea is never ending and i get no relief no matter what i eat or drink. I am gaining weight already because i am trying to eat beige foods to relieve the nausea and its not working anyway. So i'm gaining weight with no benefit. 🤬 I have tried all the little tricks and nothing works. Bland foods, little and often, sips of fluid, crackers, sweets, ginger, orange juice, flapjacks, biscuits. I dont want to eat and have no apetite but forcing myself to for the nausea. Everything tastes wrong, even the things i crave. 🤯 I am exhausted with no time to actually rest.

I’m pregnant with my first baby. We are expecting a little boy in mid January.
My partner and I have a few names on our list that we like, however I fear none of them are “his name”.
I’ve had the name Jude picked out for a boy for a very long time, since my early teenage years. I love it, but it’s become ridiculously popular now. 🥲💔💔 This really puts me off using it!
We are loving the name Saul at the moment.
Can anyone give us some inspo for a middle name for Saul? Our surname is two-syllables and begins with L.

My understanding was when contractions seem to be averaging around 50-60 seconds every 5 minutes for an hour at least when it’s your first baby, to call triage and most likely go in.
I have just called as I now meet this and had bloody mucus first thing this morning, I didn’t want to travel 40 minutes to hospital to then be sent home again so wanted to ask their advice.
I have several medical conditions that need managing (obstetric consultant advised labour can progress quickly with my condition and to go straight to the delivery unit to begin some clotting medication and make the on call anaesthetist aware as soon as I arrive to start my care plans) and the cardiac paediatric team want to be present when baby is born due to potential heart issues.
The midwife advised if I go now they’d normally keep me in the antenatal ward but they have no beds so would have to send me home if in latent labour, which she thinks I am in. She has advised I wait until I am having contractions 1-2minutes apart before calling to go in, despite acknowledging my care plan and above consultant advise.
Is it just me or does 1-2 minutes feel quite late?

Which scan is more accurate if you have irregular periods?
