I'm currently omw to L&D at the hospital due to hypertension. It's been a steady 150/100 and if I do anything it climbs. I'm so scared because my BP has never been that high, it's actually typically lower end. I don't have any other symptoms. Can someone tell me their experience and what the treatment was?

I had this postpartum and had to be readmitted. They upped my medication by double. I would imagine they will do bloodwork and maybe urine tests to check for preeclampsia and proteins in urine. Wishing you the best of luck with everything

I had this with both of my pregnancies and it went down shortly after I was admitted and hooked up to continuous monitoring.

I had this postpartum and had to be readmitted. I am not trying to scare you but I would genuinely not wish the treatment for this on anyone. You will need to get two IVs, and you will be placed on a magnesium drip for a minimum of 24 hours so you don’t have a seizure. You may be offered a catheter. It is unpleasant but please take it. You do NOT want to have to get up to go to the bathroom while you are strung out on magnesium. The catheter also allows them to monitor your output more closely. If you do not get a catheter you will be peeing into a toilet bowl insert so your urine can be measured. It is nightmarish. I am praying for you, you are seriously in for a rough ride. I hope you have support. When you go home, you will need a third adult all up in that house for that first night. Hire someone if you have to because you will be incapacitated coming off the mag drip.

Hi fellow mama, I had this and went to triage. They hooked me up to a monitor and monitored me and baby for approximately 30 minutes. My blood pressure did not go down and I needed to be admitted. They started an IV on me as well and I was given blood pressure medication and magnesium to keep my blood pressure down. I had to be induced as I was dx with pre-eclampsia. I know this sounds scary and at the time it was a lot to take in but I am so happy that I went in when I did. The process of induction took days- just like any other labor could potentially. As long as the medication is working to keep your blood pressure down then they will just continue to monitor you and continue the process. I was still able to have a vaginal delivery and my baby came out without any major medical issues.
Isn’t it crazy when you hit the one month mark and realize you’ve been doing the sleepless nights, sore nipples, and everything in between for a full month now? It’s hard for me to wrap my head around. She’s my double rainbow baby, and I think it’s made it all the more insane to me 🌈🥹

Currently at the hospital for reduced movement.I was strapped to a machine and after an hour, they told me they had to redo it as the results did not meet the criteria.Has anyone had this before?I’m trying to stay calm and can feel faint movement which is good.Should I be worried? What questions should I be asking when I go back in a couple of hours for a repeat test?Has anyone experienced this?

Hi mamas! 💕 I had my 1-hour glucose test today, and my result came back over 200 😭 I’m honestly a little worried. Has anyone else had a result this high? Were you diagnosed with gestational diabetes right away, or did your doctor have you do the 3-hour test? I’d love to hear your experiences! ❤️
