Engorged!!!

6 weeks tomorrow and starting to go slightly longer between feeds and I am super engorged! I feel like my boobs have upgraded lol they are huge. I have been hand expressing 1-2oz to relieve the pressure because I dont want to pump and make the problem worse, but even after 2-3 hours at night I wake up very sore and lumpy and have to express a bit before the baby feeds, any tips?? I only ever use a proper pump if I am away and he has two bottles in a row so thats only been a handful of times. Scared of mastitis!!

Not sure if helpful but my LO is 7 weeks and last week it was like my supply shot up and I was engorged and also worried about mastitis. I do pump and I could tell I was able to pump a lot more in a 5 min pump but was worried I was over doing it (even though not pumping much). Anyway I left everything how it was and my boobs have gone back to normal over the last day or so and baby is sleeping longer stretches and I’m not waking up engorged and lumpy. Just a strange few days where I guess my supply was still settling ? So perhaps just wait it out and don’t over stimulate them in between feeds because that will signal that they need to produce milk so see if you can ease off the hand expressing maybe

Sleep training

Has anyone got any advice on sleep training? My nearly 15 week old is fine at night sleeps in her moses basket in our room still but in the day she will not go down in the cot in the living room as soon as I put her down she’s awake and won’t go back to sleep 😩

I placed her on her back. When we woke for feeding she was on my belly. 🥴

How to get baby to nap without feeding?

My baby is almost 11 months old and he’s always fed to sleep even at bedtime. Now I feel like he’s starting to drop bottles, I struggle to get him to nap.

Like today, he had a filling lunch so refused his 3.30pm bottle for his nap, I resorted to having to drive around in the car to get him to sleep. I tried rocking and he just cries and tried to turn.

Any ideas on how I can start to get him to fall asleep with no bottle?

How did you get your little ones to use the sofa appropriately?

My daughter is 11months and can get up on the sofa but she jumps around on it like she has 9 lives, which obviously doesn’t really mix with a kid who has no sense of danger. She doesn’t get off safely and i can’t trust her to be on it but she’s desperate to do it since shes figured it out. Shes in a climbing phase anything she can be on she is, shes relentless too

My sons 4 and i can’t remember how i did it with him it’s like he just got it randomly, he still climbed alot but always safely

How did you get your young children to be safer on the sofa or just things in general?

Period & milk supply

Did anyone find that when they got their period their milk supply got less? Think my first period is starting and noticed I'm finding I'm pumping less and less milk at the moment and wonder if they're connected.
