Has anyone got any advice on sleep training? My nearly 15 week old is fine at night sleeps in her moses basket in our room still but in the day she will not go down in the cot in the living room as soon as I put her down she’s awake and won’t go back to sleep 😩

I had the same problem, it took about 4 days of transfer, wake up, soothe repeat for her to start sleeping independently during the day. It’s laborious and frustrating at times but if you transfer and then baby wakes up try again and again and eventually they will learn to stay asleep by themselves during the day. Also because she was an only contact sleeper we use a fluffy bear which she lies next to and hugs on her side, we pat her bum till she falls asleep and she still feels like she’s being held. She still wakes up occasionally but she can sleep like that for around 40-45 mins. The bear trick isn’t really considered safe sleeping but she has been sleeping on her side since week 5 so we just let her sleep in her most comfy position.

Your baby is tiny! Cuddle them, if you need hands free baby wear x

Thank you both!

Might not be what you want to hear but I’ve just given in to the contact naps! Mine is 4 months, naps for about 4 hours in the day in 30 min - 2 hour bursts. I just use the time to watch tv, read - all the stuff I can’t do when he’s awake! The chores can wait.

Too young for any sleep training and being honest I think sleep training is bad for any age
I’m a FTM looking for some advice please.
I’ve just started putting my 9 week old in her sleeping bag at night the temperature when we go to bed is around 20/21 degrees I have been putting her in a 1 tog sleeping bag with her sleepsuit per the guide on the sleep bag. The temperature is dropping to about 16/17 degrees throughout the night making it colder.
Would you continue to put her in the 1 tog or would you put her in a warmer tog when she’s going to bed knowing the temperature is going to drop? I am worried about overheating her. TIA xx

Help?!!!! My 18 month old from the day he was born has been absolute hell past 4pm. No matter how much sleep he has he whinges and cries at EVERY thing, all evening. My partner is really stressed out with it, as we thought by now he might have grown out of it. He’s sleeps 7:30pm- 6am, and 11:30-1:30 day nap. Eats WELL, that is what he actually mostly whinges at now… Always screaming at the kitchen cupboards. I don’t know what to do😩 is this happening to anyone else

I breastfed for 18 months and it was more because I knew it was good for baby and then when we got into it, it was for convenience and ease. But I also felt that it took things away like baby being able to spend long periods of time with family (he wouldn’t take a bottle), and also I had a lack of freedom lol.
I’d do it again and don’t regret it but I never got the “I love breastfeeding, I love the closeness, it’s magical” kinda feeling that I read people talking about.

When did you start using tampons after birth?
I’m 6 weeks post c-section today and started my first period. I absoloutely hate pads with a passion I’m so fed up of them I just want to start using tampons again but information online is misleading.

Did anyone find that when they got their period their milk supply got less? Think my first period is starting and noticed I'm finding I'm pumping less and less milk at the moment and wonder if they're connected.
