How are you guys handling having to send your kids to daycare or having a nanny?
I’m a first time mom and I’m terrified of anyone watching her but me. My daughter will be four months when I go back to work but with how the world is today and all the viruses and sicknesses I just don’t trust anyone.

I was like that too. Looking back, I was right. Rn I’m figuring things out as I go along. I homeschool my daughter now

I had to send my first to daycare when he was 10 weeks old. Not ideal but I’m in school and it was the best decision. Did he get sick every once in a while? Yes. But he’s fine for the most part.
I don’t think there’s much you can do with the whole virus thing at daycare, it kinda comes with the package. So it’s up to you to pick your poison.

Am I gonna be a bad mom because I believe a kid has to get a little sick to build up an immune system? Like do I ever want my little one to be in danger because of a cold.. hell no, but without getting sick sometimes how do you build an immunity towards things?
my baby daddy went mad at me as he found out i was ‘using his child maintenance’ to buy nappies from Aldi/Lidl instead of buying Pampers. Valid or is he being as ridiculous as I feel like he is? 😂

Has anyone offered there baby this yet my baby is 19 weeks old and showing every single sign of ready to start some food she sits up very well without wobbling with support and is constantly showing signs of hunger even after a bottle I have looked it up and apparently I shouldn’t give anything even if it’s from 4 months plus I know times have changed but just wanted to know if anyone has given there 4-5 month old food

I’m Belgian but lives the UK. Everyone around me is taking a week off of work to potty train their child.
As in, they’re using a week of precious annual leave for this, and then they don’t leave the house for days, quite literally locking themselves inside with their kid bum-naked, and « potty train ».
NO ONE does that where I come from. Potty training is seen as a longer, more organic process.
If you’re not British, can you say whether most people take days off to do potty training where you come from / where you live?

My sister is due soon and will need me to take care of her baby when she gets back to work.
I’m a SAHM and I take care of my two kids. One of them goes to school so during the day would be just my baby and hers and often her kid will stay over the night as some days she works during the day and others during the night. She’s married and together they clear 260k/y so they aren’t pinching pennies.
I’m not really looking to charge her for taking care of her kid but maybe to cover some part of the food that I would be cooking for her kid as let’s be honest he will have to have 3 meals and 2 snacks and when we go out I can’t just get things for my kids and not get something for him.
What do you think is a fair amount?
