What's the minimum age you would consider getting a forward facing car seat if your baby screams every time they're in the car?
My eldest hated it too and the only thing that helped was facing forward. From memory we did this at 10 months when she was over the minimum length. I'm aware it's recommended to stay rear facing for as long as possible as this is safest but it stops us from driving places currently as the poor thing gets so upset so feel like it needs to be a balance. 5 years old. My first screamed every car journey for years, eventually he grew out of it. Rather a screaming baby than a broken neck (sorry to be blunt). By law they have to be rear facing until 15 months minimum x

I'm sure it's law to be rear facing until they are 15 months old 🥺, I can't talk from personal experience but I know another mum who's baby was the same and although it's not ideal, she disabled the front passenger seat air bag and installed the car seat there rear facing and her baby was much happier 💗

My oldest still rear faces now and shes nearly 5. So for my second I will aim for the same as a minimum. And trust me my second hates being in the car too and screams. Especially if we are in stop start traffic. They do grow out it and gets better when they move out of the infant seat and into the next stage seat.

Minimum 4 years, ideally older. 1. It's law to be a minimum 15 months. 2. Screaming or not, it's just so much safer to rear face. Give them things to distract them, play music etc. They cant know what they're missing if they dont forward face until older.

Legally height based seats they have to be older than 15m , weight based seats over 9kg . My first was 4 months when we swapped him . My twins will be using the same car seat and will be as soon as they’re to heavy for me to carry or to big for their infant carriers
It’s not advisable but your child your choice.

I think I turned my first around 20 months. It’s personal preference x

4-5, but closer to 5. As above, I’d rather have a screaming baby than one with a broken neck but I would try putting them rear facing in the front seat with the air bag off, certain toys, happy song by Imogen heap, and if none worked I’d honestly just limit car journeys but I wouldn’t be caving to forward facing until at the very least 4.5.
Can anyone recommend some good bras now that I’ve finished breastfeeding and I’ve got 2 half empty sacks? 🤣
I’ve tried the brands Lounge, Boux Avenue (no underwire) and NEXT (underwire.)
They either slip underneath during the day or towards the middle 🥴💕

How many feeds is baby having overnight?
Baby is nearly 7 weeks old. He tends to fall asleep downstairs on one of us around 8pm, then when we go up to bed around 10-11pm we give a bottle of formula.
He then sleeps until around 2-3am when he wakes for a nappy change and a breastfeed. He will then go back down until around 5am when we do another change and breastfeed. At this point he gets quite fussy in the next to me so I tend to bring him into bed with me to get more sleep until 7-8am
What are your nights looking like?

Hello everyone,
What are we doing with our little one’s hands at night? Her nursery was at 18.5 degrees last night and she has a vest, a sleepsuit and her 2.5 tog sleeping bag but when she woke up this morning her little hands were freezing cold even tho her chest was warm!
I always feel extremely bad when I pick her up to cuddle in the morning and those little hands are freezing. I know some people are using the built in mittens of the sleepsuit but it doesn’t work for her because she self soothes during the night by sucking her hands so having them covered wouldn’t work for her!
Anyone else in this situation?

I have a 20m old and a 2 month old. Both boys. My 20m old is in size 5 daytime and overnight diapers. My 2m is in size 1. What are we all doing to help with peeing through? Both children pee through their diapers at night (my 2m gets changed during his 3am feeding). I make sure both are always pointed down. do I need to go up a size? I’m at a loss.

I'm a 1st time Mum and my boy is just over 4 weeks. I feel like I'm still struggling to read his cues. It feels like the time between me realising hes hungry and him having a full meltdown is 2 seconds. I feel awful every time he cries. Am I being too harsh on myself? Do babies just cry and its fine and I need to just relax. At what point did you feel like you knew what your baby wanted?
