First time stay at home mom

Hey mamas! ❤️ I’m a first-time mom and currently a stay-at-home mom to my little girl. This is the first time in my adult life that I haven’t had a job of my own and made my own money, and I’m wanting to find a way to bring in a little extra income while still being home with my baby.

For the moms who have been in a similar situation, what are some side hustles or ways to make money that have actually worked for you? I’m open to ideas that I can do from home or work on around my baby’s schedule. I’d especially love to hear about things that don’t require a big upfront investment!

I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thank you! 💕

Did you not talk about finances with your partner when you took on the role of SAHM? Do you have full and equal access to money? I know that while I don’t bring in money other than Vinted sales, I save money by shopping around for the best deal when we need things, I do the food plan and cook everything from scratch… plus if we were both working both of our salaries would be going towards childcare. We have a joint account with pots and budgets for every expense including personal spending money, kids activities, groceries etc. Just because your contribution towards the household doesn’t have a literal monetary value doesn’t mean it’s not valuable. If jointly things are equal and transparent and there aren’t any concerns I would try to relax and enjoy your role as a SAHM.

I mean I have access to a credit card and I’m definitely not being abused or anything lol just having money that was just mine that I could do what I wanted with would be nice

I think the problem right now is we have no extra haha I’m not expected to help out in any way shape or form. But it would be nice.

Wanting to get pregnant with my second child

My husband and I had sex while I was ovulating. He did finish inside me. My question is HOW likely is it to get pregnant for that? When I got pregnant with my 1st child we just had sex on a random Tuesday morning and didn’t think anything of it. I didn’t do any research I just continued with my life. I’m wondering if the stress plays a role in not getting pregnant? Also online says its under 40% likely hood of getting pregnant

Am I the only one?

I am sure I am not, and I don’t want to seem ungrateful because I’ve wanted this forEVER and struggled to convince. But it’s like my brain can’t catch up with the fact I am pregnant when I step on the scales? I am nearly 22 weeks and started at 9st 4 and I am now 10st 7-9 depending on time of day. I know it’s because I am growing a human, boobs are bigger, water, extra blood and so many other factors, but it’s like my brain can’t accept it? It feels so lonely and I feel so bad saying it 😓 - does anyone else feel similar?

Does your partner get excited?

Men can be strange but generally do most men get excited when they find out you’re pregnant? Mines negative about money, sleep, will it ruin our relationship? His brother even said today ‘ are you keeping it’ and he said ‘ think so’ I burst into tears. How should they be ? Thank you
