Oh the back pain is horrific! Try feeding laying down on your side..It’s a life saver

I lay on my side for breastfeeding. Mainly because it slows my letdown enough for her to feed without choking but it also takes care of any back pain too. It works wonders for me

What used to help me was the breastfeeding pillow, Icy hot after breastfeeding and when I finally knew that my baby was going to sleep put some Vicks on the back and then on top of it a warm towel to penetrate deeper on the skin.

I’ve been going to a chiropractor and it’s been helping me so much!

Please make sure your bringing baby to you and your not going down to baby! You might’ve heard this before but it’s so important to keep the back from being in constant pain. Anytime I am nursing I make sure I’m at least slightly leaned back and baby is comfortable and being lifted to me. I don’t use a nursing pillow, I found it to be uncomfortable. But I do use regular couch pillows to prop under him to make sure I’m not leaning down at all and he’s up in a comfortable spot. You got this mama!!!😊❤️🫰🏻

My lactation consultant said to have pillows and lean back. That before you think about latching you should be thinking about yourself and position first.

A really good chair and my brest friend SUPER DELUXE or when he got older and can self latch I just lay down

Ditto what the others said! I rarely feed sitting up these days, only if we're out, and then I try to get in the habit of stretching my neck and shoulders up so I'm not hunched. I follow a lactation consultant who says bring baby to boob, not boob to baby. For that reason! So you're not in an awkward/uncomfortable position the whole time. Easier said than done 😂 I've also started doing stretches and lifting weights...

I go to the chiropractor once a week and I only feed sitting or standing when I’m not home that helped tremendously with my upper and lower back pain. You can also try leaning back a little bit if you have to feed sitting up do your absolute best to bring baby to you instead of you going to baby.

Thanks ladies 🩷

Side laying nursing. I do this for 95% of feeds. I couldn't do it until she was like 3 months, but have been doing it since. Those first 3 months my back was in AGONY

What has helped my back pain the most is re-engaging my core muscles by exercising my legs, glutes, and core. I also lie on a foam roller to open up my chest at the end of the day.

Whatever position you’re in, Make sure your arms are always full supported so you’re not holding up the weight of the baby alone with your arms and shoulders. Whatever nursing pillow, or any other pillows that are the right size and height for your body and baby which may change too.
Hi! I got this bathtub for my two month old off Amazon and recently it's been leaving like this rust looking marks behind on the insert for it. What is it and what bathtub would you recommend? More pics of it in the comments

I am a first-time mum with a nearly a week old baby girl we found out two weeks but she had colic and silent reflux!
Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, how are you coping? What are we doing? As we have done everything you could think that we’ve also been told to do😢

My son is 5 in February, and currently still in night time nappies. He's been out of day nappies since he was 3 and a bit. Still an occasional accident or "forgetting" he needs to go, but 9/10 he's there no problem.
He takes himself to the loo when he wakes up in the morning usually - but then puts the old nappy back on 🙈 I had hoped to be able to try no night time nappies before he went to school in September, but with our second born arriving mid September it just didn't work out. And in any case, his night time nappy is still soaked every morning, there's no way I could take the nappy away yet.
My mom and MIL keep going on that we were out of nappies fully by 3 - but I just can't see how to get there!!
What's everyone else doing?!

I got my 5 month old weighed the other day and she has only put 1lb 4oz on between 30/07 and 13/10. My health visitor keeps dismissing me and telling me not to worry as she "was never a big girl anyway" (she was born 29 May at 8.5lbs/81st centile, and has dropped to the 5th centile at 11lb15oz?!)
She's always had long and frequent feeds, which because I know no different I didn't think was odd, obviously slow weight gain, I maybe have a slight lipstick nipple when she unlatches, and occasionally she pulls off frustrated and then latches back on. No other symptoms that I have picked up on, and all the midwives told me she had a good latch and was feeding well, so it's not even occurred to me until her new weigh in that there may be something wrong!
My question is, is there anything other symptoms I need to look out for? Did anyone's baby turn out to have tongue tie with similar/less symptoms than usual (no pain etc)
How hard was it to get help?
My GP has also said that tongue tie is so over diagnosed these days, so I am wanting to go in with ammo if I need it😅

Most days my baby is still having 4 naps a day, (he’ll be 6 months old next Thursday) he has just fallen asleep feeding an hour and a half after his morning nap? He seems tired wuite frequently even though I follow his cues rather than the clock and let him nap as and when he wants (if he doesn’t want one, he won’t go down!). He seems to want/ need very frequent but short naps- he only naps between 20 and 45 mins, even if I keep his sleep environment the same throughout the whole nap (he falls asleep at the breast and then contact naps).
His night sleep is pretty hit and miss, some nights he’ll go down 19:30-8am and wake up 2 maybe 3 times, some nights he’ll fall asleep earlier/ later and wake more frequently throughout the night and earlier in the morning.
I’m happy to try whatever might work, but I’m not a massive believer in apps/ following a clock as I tried Napper for a few weeks recently and it seemed to make things harder, every nap became a battle. I’m happy to contact nap etc, just not sure whether there’s anything else I can try?
I guess I’m just looking for some reassurance, I’m a EBF, co sleeping, contact napping mama so any form of Ferber method or likewise will not be happening in this house hold🙈😂
Should I be worried that I have a tired baby or am I doing something wrong?
