Considering an elective c section at Jessops. Does anyone have any experience with this, how did the midwife/consultant respond to your request?

Iv not had one yet, but i opted for elective c section at Jessops - due 1st April. I told my
Midwife and she was super supportive and didn’t push me to change my mind etc which I had with another midwife (that pregnancy sadly ended in miscarriage).

I had an elective section in January at Jessop’s, I had a meeting with a consultant at my 20 weeks scan and they was amazing, they was very supportive and just spoke to me about the risks & they said they can’t force me to change my mind if that’s what I was sure on. I had the most amazing experience when my daughter was born!

I asked my midwife and an earlier appt. Probs at around the 24 week mark and she said when I got closer to birth she would book me an appt with a consultant. It was left till I was 37 weeks and couldn’t give me a c section till I was 9 days overdue… luckily I was induced and because it failed I was allowed a c section earlier. But I was annoyed that they couldn’t do it till I was overdue as I didn’t want to go into labour naturally. But tbf the consultant was nice about it, just go in there and express why you want it, stand your ground and they can’t say no really. They’ll just tell you the risks which they have to do before you make a decision xx

I’ve had two elective sections at Jessops - Sept 23 and another earlier this month. The midwife and consultant were both supportive of my wishes/decision both times. I was worried about the consultant appointment the first time round so went with a list of all my reasons and I’d read the NICE guidelines beforehand but didn’t even really delve into it. Obviously they need to tell you about the risks so I told my husband not to overreact when we went in for that appointment but it was very relaxed. I told my midwife I wanted an elective section from pretty much my first appointment with her - made it very clear I wasn’t changing my mind. Just be clear, calm and advocate for yourself - your body, your choice x

I think I may be in early labour, I’ve been having contractions since Thursday morning at half 11 but they stop then start up again a few hours later, I’ve also been leaking fluid. I also wiped just and there’s like a yellow-green snot like discharge thing on the wipe. Not sure as I’m a FTM and I’m only 36 weeks pregnant.

My baby boy’s due on 4 April (so I’m 16+6 today) and I’m sure over the past few days I’ve been able to feel a few small movements / flutters.
It’s so hard to differentiate though (I keep thinking is it just gas / belly rumbles or is it him kicking)
Is anyone else feeling anything at this stage? Xx

Anyone had a elective c section, I’m a bit nervous as I don’t wanna loose too much blood as I’m very short and I’m just hoping my baby will be fine🤰
