i’m 27 weeks, and sometimes i’ll feel him kicking and moving quite strongly, but then seem to have a couple days where they’re smaller movements and not as intense. is this normal?

It’s not normal to have major changes from your usual. Your usual may be different than others. There’s a kick counter app to track it. You can call in and ask to be evaluated for reduced fetal movement at any time. It’s a big way they can catch problems so they should take you seriously.

It’s not the normal and I would 100% suggest to get checked. I can only go by my experience which is that my movements completely changed and I was in regularly with reduced movements only to find out that she had changed her pattern in movements and on the CTG she was moving between 2 and 4am which is when I was sleeping. So could be a change in pattern but I would still say to get it checked, they can do a CTG from 27 weeks I can assure you of this. Hope you get things sorted ❤️

A lot of people don't have a regular movement pattern for a few more weeks. If you're worried, it doesn't hurt to get it looked at, but I wouldn't panic at this stage.

Your baby is still quite small, so regular movements can still be hard to feel and notice. I found at this stage my baby was going through like 48 hr cycles, day one quite active, day two less so, repeat. Always consult with a provider if something feels off, but it IS normal to not feel like your baby is trying to climb out of your uterus 24/7.

My take- I would just call OB. Everyones pregnancy is different, my baby would move around a whole lot for days straight and then rest with not as much movement but still at least every hour they should be moving and giving some kicks/rolls/hiccups.

This was me the whole way through pregnancy from when I started to feel her move. We would have multiple days of high activity followed by 1/2 days of low. Midwife said babies create their own pattern and your own version of normal. I did go in for reduced movements once and all was fine. She’s now here happy and healthy - didn’t stop me worrying though!

Position is a big factor too! Movement and kicks can be more towards your back at times.
A few people might not agree with me on this but, I think it’s so difficult to actually understand a proper ‘pattern’ of movement. These babies are not pre programmed to move and wake at exactly the same times each day and therefore every day is not going to be the same.
This is my second pregnancy and the same as my first, I wouldn’t say my boy has a ‘set’ schedule/pattern etc
It’s very difficult to know when things have actually changed, if you’re worried no harm at all getting checked x

I have the same thing, my little one will move for a few days and then be quite. What helps me is having a baby Doppler for her heart beat and if I don't feel her move in a few hours or days I use that, I'm a overthinker so if I worried about her that helps because then you know they are ok.

I believe is normal. My baby was the same way what I would do was drink something cold or eat something sweet and she would start moving eventually I started poking her. I’ll be more concerned if you was bigger but some babies are just calmed.
Need some advice please! Yesterday I had a loose tummy and nausea, was sick once. Today I have woken up to a stitch feeling on the sides of my bump and the top. I’m having irregular contractions. Just had one 90sec one that made me cry. I have laid down to rest but still getting them.. could this be prodromal or real?

Just reflecting on my birth, all I can think is why? Why did it happen. So does anyone have an idea of what could have caused it to happen
Here is the birth story:
At 31+5 I had a big bleed. When I got seen at triage they said my cervix was closed and the scan showed my placenta was okay. They kept me in for a few nights till the bleeding stopped and gave me steroid injections.
Then again at 32+3 I had another bleed, more blood this time. Again they couldn’t see why so I was kept in for 3 days till that bleeding stopped
Then at 33 weeks, i had felt pelvic pressure all day. And bad back ache. I took a bath and as I stepped out my waters completely broke. I went into triage and they kept me in again, I wasn’t having contractions. They said they’ll try get me to 37 weeks
Then early hours at 33+2 I started getting contractions, I contracted for 10 hours then my waters started turning green. And my baby’s heart started decelerating at every contraction. So I was taken for an emergency c section. My baby boy was a healthy 5lbs5oz. It was later confirmed that I had caught an infection from my waters breaking, and when they got him out there was little to no fluid left at all which was causing decels.
We spent 11 days in nicu and he’s now 4 weeks old and doing so well!
I just wonder why it happened, why I had a bleed twice and why my water broke so early. With My first baby I was induced at 41 weeks so I never went into labour at all, and he was a chunky 9lbs1oz!😅

So, I have been intense pressure in my pelvis and butt (like I have to poop but I don't), kicks are feeling lower, I immediately have to pee whenever I sit up straight, and something keeps attacking my vagina. Could he be ready to rock already? He is LGA so I'm thinking maybe his head is extra heavy and gravity brought him down

I just wanted to give some reassurance in case anyone else was or is in this position, I went for an early scan thinking I was 6 weeks and they only saw the sac & yolk no fetal pole I was advised to wait 2 weeks and come back which we did today and there they were little heart beat too! And I’m measuring 6weeks 3 days so I’m more then a week and half earlier then I thought!!

Hey all!
I’ve just had my 20 week scan at exactly 20 weeks! Baby boy measuring at 21 weeks 4 days all healthy!
The sonographer said I had an anterior placenta, yet when we had a private gender scan at 15 weeks 5 days they said it was posterior!
Now I have NO idea 😆
Has anyone else experienced this?
I’m feeling baby kicking and have done since about 18 weeks 5 days!
