I had to eat the second my eyes opened in the morning to avoid horrendous nausea.
Regular snacking through the day to not allow my stomach to get too empty!
It should get better around the 12/14 week mark 🤞

Small snacks were my saviour, grab the multipacks of like party rings, animal biscuits etc take them everywhere it definitely helped me, I was nauseous and sick through my half my first trimester, all of my second and half way through my third! Plus don’t wait too late for your evening meal I made that mistake too many times. Hope you feel better soon hun it’s definitely not easy

Just saying what worked for me, lots of ice lolly’s and cereal with milk. That’s it, as long as my stomach was not too empty or too full then the nausea wasn’t too bad. It’s hard babe, hope you feel better soon x

I hope it gets better soon . I try to eat but I puke it right back up 😞 I’ve been only eating little by little

Smelling lemon oil. Could try a snack before you go bed. Only eating food without smell 😅

Vitamin B6 and ice cold sparkling water with lemon.

My nausea was horrible first trimester, zofran, ginger chews, and sniffing or licking a lemon helps. Also never let yourself get hungry 😭. (My nausea got a bit better in second trimester but came back a few weeks ago)

I nibbled on graham crackers and drank lemon ginger tea or carbonated ginger ale… also found that drinking a protein shake before bed helped me stay “full” and staved off the nausea most mornings when I woke up!

it was also my first pregnancy so on bad days I would call out of work and lay in bed all day 😅 when I couldn’t afford another day off I’d pack plastic bags in my work pants and send it.

Popsicles was all I could keep down cause even water made me sick and apple juice

Stick to only what doesn’t make you nauseous. I also only was able to take one bite of a meal (if that)
I always had soda water, and jolly ranchers somehow helped with nausea
Always remember that yes it will get better

And I agree calling off if you can and just resting

She’s here 🎀

So after a 40 minute birth, not making it to the hospital & out in 2 pushes my darling girl is finally here. Was hoping for a VBAC and had a c section booked in for today. Labour started spontaneously 🥹 couldn’t be more grateful 🩷

GDM and small baby

I got diagnosed with gestational diabetes and when I had my growth scan my baby was too small. Does anyone have any advise on how to increase my baby’s size without effecting my GDM.

I can't do this (31w1d)

I have no quality of life. I can barely get around in my home because I'm always in pain and exhausted. Tylenol is a joke as pain relief. I have severe HG and am about to start a medication made for fucking cancer patients. I have so many complications and I'm so tired. Someone please tell me there's an end in sight

My family don't like baby's name

I love my baby boys name, my friends love it and my siblings too. Everyone else in my family are not crazy about it and keep saying because of its strong African sounding-ness baby will be judged and loose opportunities in the future blah blah blah.
For an African family we've got pretty bland European favoured names with our African born day names.

I respect their opinions but I love the name my other children love the name and I'm very happy to keep it.
I'm married to a European with middle easter roots and they'd prefer if we went down the Mediterranean style of name.

It makes me frustrated and sad because people in UK and maybe abroad favor names like George, Charlotte, Sarah, James I can't branch out? It's ridiculous we have artists with tough Russian or Germanic even Polish names which everyone just gets on with but something more African inspired isn't okay?

Baby hasn't got a birth certificate or official documents yet. Should I keep me baby's name which he's used to and his siblings? Or shall I confirm and listen to my elder family members and change it to a European favoured name?

I'm 95% sure I want to stick to my guns, after all on this pretty traumatic & difficult pregnancy journey it was only myself I could rely on and therefore who has the right to try and "re name" my baby?

Advice welcomed thanks 😊

Visiting family; do I take hospital bags?

I’m 35 weeks and going to stay with some family 2 and a half hours away. Should I take the car seat and hospital bags just in case? Not high risk or expecting earlier arrival. Is my first baby so likelihood is to go over but who knows 😅
