Tell me your experience with poo 😅

I’d like to know if anyone has been through or is currently going through the same situation as me. I’m a first-time mum and my little one has 5 weeks old. She drinks SMA formula (I know they all have the same nutritional value, etc.) and I reckon that, given how much she drinks, she isn’t absorbing enough to produce poo – she only goes every 3 to 5 days. I’ve spoken to my GP, health visitor, midwives and even A&E they’ve actually told me to wait up to 10 days before classifying it as an emergency. Everyone says it’s normal, especially as she shows no signs of constipation when she does have a poo… I’d like to know if anyone has had similar experiences? What did you do apart from massages? Did you change formula?

My 6 week old has been the same other than the fact that she is really straining and in pain, so I would also love any advice because I haven't found the GP very helpful. And waiting for as long as they are suggesting, sounds so alarming to me!!!!

My eldest is 4 years old and she only had a poo maybe once or twice a week, this was just her normal. It didn't really change until she started eating solid food

My son has infant gaviscon so he gets constipated but pushes out a small bit every day i find when hes trying to go if i hold his legs up for him it helps to actually get more out if that makes sense😅 otherwise hes just more uncomfortable as hes not fully finished. I try to do bicycle legs but i dont find it really helps much. When my daughter was a few months old she never went for like a week and they made me give her a suppository which was horrible to do so i went back and they gave us some medicine instead

When did you feel comfortable taking baby out for walks and coffee ?

I’ve only been out once around day 10 with Baby for a check up at the clinic which was fine but we haven’t done anything else yet and coming up for 3 weeks? Anyone got any advice on when and how to start taking Babies out? Especially living in rainy winter weather

Is this creating a bad habit

My son is 14 months old. He's ALWAYS hated the pram, since newborn. However, separation anxiety has peaked big time and now he just screams and cries in the pram... Unless we hold hands

Now, this is a difficult task when it's just me but if my partner is pushing I can walk beside and we hold hands. I'm not fussed about it but my partner thinks I'm giving in every time he cries and reaches out for me which is creating a bad habit.

My thought is one day he won't want to hold my hand🥺 he won't reach out for me so why would I deny the comfort he's searching for in that moment

Can someone reassure me that I'm not creating a bad habit.

Am I being irrational?

Just need opinions on if I’m being irrational about the safety of my 7 month old son. I’m a first time single mum. His dad is having knee reconstruction surgery and I’m worried about his visits during his recovery. He lives with his 75 year old mum, a dachshund who is a handful and had visits from his 13 year old daughter twice a week. They’re in a 3 story house, but he’s confirmed moved everything for our son downstairs. He will be on crutches and no idea how long recovery is, or when physio will start and has been very vague about everything regarding his recovery, saying the hospital hasn’t given him any information. So I arranged for health visitor to go and see what she thought. He kept saying his mum might be busy that day (she doesn’t get out as hip and knee mobility issues so I was suspicious of this). On the day of the visit where I wanted HV to see how his mum handled Harrison, she conveniently had a doctors appointment at the time of the visit, so she couldn’t check how she was lifting and carrying Harrison. He has told health visitor that his sister who attended the appointment will be helping during his recovery and that he would be out of action for the first week. When he dropped our son back, he said his sister works, so couldn’t be there all the time and that he wants him the first week. I have stood my ground and said we will be going by what you have told the health visitor. He’s also confirmed he will be on crutches. I’m just worried about our son’s safety with being dropped, or someone tripping over the dog, not getting to him in time if in danger or choking. I was told by him to “trust me” and painted as a controlling mum constantly. Just doesn’t feel right to “give in” and accept potentially he isn’t safe just to keep the peace 😔

Baby sleep - baby monitor

So my little boy (6 months in just over a week) has started pushing himself up and sitting up by himself. Last night I woke up twice to him sitting himself up in his next to me and once to him in the crawling position rocking back and forth. So it’s now at a point where I’m going to have to move him into his room and in his big boy cot. His bedroom is next to ours and cot is against the wall to our bedroom. I don’t know if to buy a baby monitor or which one? Anyone got any recommendations?
