My son is 14 months old. He's ALWAYS hated the pram, since newborn. However, separation anxiety has peaked big time and now he just screams and cries in the pram... Unless we hold hands
Now, this is a difficult task when it's just me but if my partner is pushing I can walk beside and we hold hands. I'm not fussed about it but my partner thinks I'm giving in every time he cries and reaches out for me which is creating a bad habit.
My thought is one day he won't want to hold my handš„ŗ he won't reach out for me so why would I deny the comfort he's searching for in that moment
Can someone reassure me that I'm not creating a bad habit.

No it's not creating a bad habit, just providing comfort when he's going through a separation anxiety phase.
He'll let go when he's ready š

I do the same with my son! I donāt think youāre creating any bad habits! I personally find it cute :)

Not a bad habit at all! Heās a baby and having comfort when needed will make him confidente and independent later on. I agree we should enjoy all the cuddles while we can. Please listen to your instinct. Your baby is so lucky to have such a loving mother!

Its a faze..enjoy the closeness while it lasts! My little girl used to do it š
If breastfeeding when did you guys have your first drink since having bubba? Iām combi-feeding baby girl is 13 weeks and not sure when itās okay to have a drink x

Just need opinions on if Iām being irrational about the safety of my 7 month old son. Iām a first time single mum. His dad is having knee reconstruction surgery and Iām worried about his visits during his recovery. He lives with his 75 year old mum, a dachshund who is a handful and had visits from his 13 year old daughter twice a week. Theyāre in a 3 story house, but heās confirmed moved everything for our son downstairs. He will be on crutches and no idea how long recovery is, or when physio will start and has been very vague about everything regarding his recovery, saying the hospital hasnāt given him any information. So I arranged for health visitor to go and see what she thought. He kept saying his mum might be busy that day (she doesnāt get out as hip and knee mobility issues so I was suspicious of this). On the day of the visit where I wanted HV to see how his mum handled Harrison, she conveniently had a doctors appointment at the time of the visit, so she couldnāt check how she was lifting and carrying Harrison. He has told health visitor that his sister who attended the appointment will be helping during his recovery and that he would be out of action for the first week. When he dropped our son back, he said his sister works, so couldnāt be there all the time and that he wants him the first week. I have stood my ground and said we will be going by what you have told the health visitor. Heās also confirmed he will be on crutches. Iām just worried about our sonās safety with being dropped, or someone tripping over the dog, not getting to him in time if in danger or choking. I was told by him to ātrust meā and painted as a controlling mum constantly. Just doesnāt feel right to āgive inā and accept potentially he isnāt safe just to keep the peace š

Why is everyone obsessed with taking my baby from me. People taking him and holding him is fine, but the whole visit they will have him and wont give him back to me, i feel they think its a joke and laugh saying i need to share with family but it gives me huge anxiety.
People suggesting i leave him with them to go ārestā, i donāt want to. I want my baby with me he is only 5 weeks old! Everyone has had their time and this is my time.
