When do we get our core back??

I still can barely get out of bed without swinging myself round. I struggle to get up off the sofa sometimes.

I just have no core AT ALL. Whats going on??

Just to clarify sorry - my belly looks how it should! I just can't use my muscles! Theyre just non existent, I.was an avid barbell and dumbell lifter so I definitely had a good core before but now it feels like Its GONE.

My core is just my back, ive tried gentle workouts based around pilates and even had to modify those.

Your abdominal muscles have separated and need to literally knit back together again! Pelvic floor exercises and deep breath work really helps as well as postnatal pilates when you’re ready

Hellooo, it shouldn't be so painful that you can't get out of bed. Id definitely go and see a gp! Mine was painful for the first couple days after birth but not further than that.

I was doing pelvic floor exercises throughout my pregnancy though. This was my second pregnancy.

My first pregnancy I struggled for the first couple weeks- I didn't do any pelvic floor exercises. It might help to have a postpartum belly band. I still use mine while I'm walking around then take it off when I sit down.

Don't do any crazy exercises atm- that'll hurt more but very very gentle core exercises will help- theres some good ones on YouTube. Like Ceecee suggested postnatal yoga/pilates will help as they are gentle exercises and because you'll actually be there they can help you with getting into the right positions etc...

Heat helps too! I have a heated belly band that I use too.

I hope that helps your pain.

Anybody was on Sertraline (Zoloft) while pregnant?

I was on it before pregnancy but stopped when I found out I was pregnant. But I’m really struggling. My dr said it was fine to continue but something in my heart feels guilty for taking it.

Anybody willing to share their experience?
